I do remember that there was a rework of earlier parts of the game - anyone know if it improved the game in any meaningful way?

The quality of rendering, staging and expression of emotions has improved. The models of girls have grown butts (become worse). Some interesting scenes have been cut and replaced with less interesting ones.

If you liked the beginning of the game, then there is no point in replaying it, you can ruin the initial impressions.

ps: Reworking parts of games is always bad, no matter what the excuse is. It's like trying to rewrite history and destroy the traces of your creative growth with your own hands. Even if the beginning was of lower quality, players still saw improvement from event to event. And now they only see things getting worse.

This game had everything for me: interesting characters, nice character designs, cute Chinami, etc.
What let's this game down a lot is it's a chore to play. Some events take ages to complete and without the guide, good luck. Some mini-games are tragic and you don't get answers from playing this game. I literally had to look at scripts to get passwords to certain story events.
Also one mistake can cost you dearly on relationship status and you're bummed if it's the case.
Didn't even realise this game has been in production for 5 years and it's progressing so slowly... I doubt this game will ever get "Complete" status.

Unless Selebus dies or the sub count falls dramatically or something i don't see why not.

We are well into chapter 4 right now. Chapter 5 will be the last chapter of the harem route. Chapter 6 aka the dark route "will probably be the shortest chapter in the game". After that we'll have 35 purity routes, one per girl. It will easily take another 5 years but it's not infinite.

I haven't played since version 0.29 I think, it was on chapter 3 when a bunch of girls that were introduced on chapter 2 enters MC's class. I kinda dread coming back to it, even though I want to do it eventually.
