Porn games are about 70% of my daily life currently, so I take them seriously as fuck!
Ok I jork, but I play porn games expecting the same level of sincerity from the developer as any other game I play.
If the game quality is bad, or I feel like this is more of a joke to them and not an attempt at making something really hot or really interesting then I don't even try to finish playing their game.

I tried to do this but its really hard to judge all porn games equally since a lot of games are trying to achieve something different. Kind of like comparing apples to oranges.

Imo, it depends on the game, if the game has an interesting story that takes itself seriously, then yeah sure, but if the game doesn't then nah, always having fun

There are definitely some that transcend wanking material and are really great games with some naughty bits in them. Unfortunately, many of them are just some lewd renders interrupted by some text, those I don't take seriously.

I don't take any videogame seriously, unless I absolutely love the story and would love to learn more about it, but since we're talking about lewd games then.. It depends, if the story is serious then yeah, sure, but if it's all shit post and funny moments then definitely no

Depends heavily on the writing and atmosphere. We talking about Artemis, for example? Sure. We talking about some poorly written nonsense where MC is in that same boutique for the nth time waiting for some girl to try on clothes in the change room and the artist couldn't be arsed to do a lighting pass? couldn't be bothered.

All these games take place in the same city and that is just the most popular clothing store in town! but yes it does get old to see that over and over and over again.

If by serious you mean like a sweaty video game player in COD, then no. If you mean serious like I don't enjoy games where little effort has been put into the graphics, dialogue and plot, then yeah - I won't continue playing a game if after 20 mins it doesn't feel like it has potential.

It's a form of entertainment. Getting emotional/serious over your entertainment means you don't have enough conflict in your work/school/business/love life. Conflict is part of your normal brain diet, if you aren't getting enough you'll make some up.

Not at all. In every nonporn game, I roleplay very close to the character I am playing, but in porn games, I usually click whichever option will give me the H scenes.

Speaking only about a porn game or VN , you need to take the game, novel, or story as it is presented to you, you are given an MC to focus on, so the author pretends that you follow his history/adventure, this history can be pretty realistic or fantasy where all kinds of fetishes can be introduced from the author, if it presents something I don't like as NTR or sharing partners I simply don't play the game, a person don't need to be said you take the game seriously to try to make someone play it, after all playing it is for entertainment if someone doesn't enjoy it why should he waste his time on it. So a game can't be said if you take or not take a game seriously. It either is you would be entertained playing it or not.

I take it as seriously as I would take any other piece of entertainment. Because although it is adult/pornographic entertainment, it is still a form of entertainment. So, if I'm invested in a game, I would treat it the same as a book, or movie I'm also invested in.

HaHa, I love this question! To me it is unbelievable how some guys hate NTR so bad because they can't stand seeing (their) girls having sex with other characters because they think of the girls as their actual girl friends.

It is never good form to kink shame people, specially when you are in a space that thrives on adult entertainment and kinks. There are people who just don't vibe with NTR even in porn movies, hentai, etc. In AVNs you are put in the perspective of the MC, so it would make even more sense that you wouldn't like seeing a character that is interacting "directly" with you, being railed by another dude. Unless, of course, you are into that type of thing, which there is nothing wrong with. But people hate it, and there is also nothing wrong with that.
