If it was abandoned, why is there a recent update? Mind you, according to my saved games, this is the first update in about 12 months so it could take years to finish

pretty sure it's abandoned.. sadly.. because I too really like this one.

Maybe it comes back. If I remember correctly the dev is busy with work and getting extra income from his story isn't currently possible because of politics. Both can change next year. But I am also not too optimistic.
