What is the most immersive game you played?

I will have a hard time differentiating between the game being immersive and me immersing into one, so I'll just pick the latter,
SFW was an mmorpg that went with "perfect world" or something, followed closely by TERA and another, KUFII.
NSFW, Anything by NLT, Price of power, Lust academy, Nephilim, Eternum, along others I didn't mention.

Hi-Fi Rush, having to keep up with the rhythm to land your combo's made my feel like inside the world itself. Also the story and characters are interesting :3

Spent unhealthy amount of time with Fallout 4. average of maybe 40 hours a week, for months at a stretch. Had a strong need for escapism, and that game worked really well at the time for that.

Acting Lessons and Katawa Shoujo. Non other VN give me that level of emotional implication. In Action Lessons, when the decision comes, I was hit so hard that I just couldn't take it.

When I got to that point in Acting Lessons I just quit the game and never went back.

MH World. Gets me going for all the things you can grind and the RnG that comes with it.

For me personally. Heavy Rain.
It does so many things that make you feel like your Ethan.
First it's real world setting which means most people can relate, then it starts you off with everyday menial tasks like going to the washroom and shaving. As game play it's an introduction to controls while bringing the player into Ethan's ordinary life.
Then what I feel is brilliant is when the game asks for your choice on the matter and are given timed floating options. Depending upon the situation portrayed this can range from softly floating options to erratic shaking options and even blurring, the more dire the situation the harder they make it to read imparting the anxiety Ethan feels upon the player.

Monster Hunter: World relatively recently, World of Warcraft ages ago. As for NSFW I'd have to say Man of the House.
Two of my most played games.

I have well over 50000hrs between all the Monster Hunter Games. I have played since release, but the PSP game, Monster Hunter Freedom was where/when me and my buddies got deep into the game. I even bought 2 of the japanese PSP bundles. I went ot 3 of the meetups AT Capcom. Damn, I was into MH! (Still am, to a lesser extent)

My wife actually credits Monster Hunter for us being together. I wont give the whole story, but she has a point

I miss my WoW Druid too...

Definitely RDR2. The Details and how well everything in the world fits together makes it really immersive.

Skyrim, P4, Arx Fatalis, Factorio (had to quite playing the days went by fast.) Planescape: Torment.

I also played EDF 4.1 greatly so and on inferno, as a Fencer gave such a godly feel that I still remember my plays to a clear degree. Unfortunatly that magic was lost in 5, and I assume 6, that I haven't bought.

Lessons in Love, was looking for a completely different type of game at the time but once I started this I simply couldn't stop I took some time off to catch up

If you're not gonna give the whole story you could at least give part of it haha
