For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward.
I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward.

"Cucumbers are pickles given the 'water zombie' treatment. They barely resemble their prior living form. Instead, they're bloated disgusting bags filled with swamp water detritus bemoaning the loss of their prior perfect self."
Now, WHO said that to me is lost in the cobweb filled abyss that is my brain...
I got to see a theatrical showing of Nosferatu a couple years ago with a live organist doing the music, it was great, but then I like old cinema, so I'm a bit biased.
Yeah to understand old cinema style you need like and watch the old movies. I seen some before and of course famous Charley Chaplin and it is interesting how things and also how people changed these days. Some people woill still like old B&W silent movies and there were some really good actor and actress.
I think most languages that is spoken in more than one region have differences based on where it is. Here in Brazil we speak portuguese, and frankly, I think I understand spanish better than portuguese from Portugal. Hahaha
I know mostly USA english, but for some reason some words I remember are in UK english. Usually because I played some european game or something like that.
Oh, you're japanese? That's cool. I'm actually half japanese. I know how to read hiragana and katakana (and some 10 or so kanji, which is nothing. Hahaha) albeit very, very slow, but it already helps a lot. Nowadays lot's of japanese games, sites and such actually uses english for menus and so, just written in the japanese alphabet.
And for us that speak portuguse, the pronunciation of japanese is really easy, becausa japanese romaji is actually based on portuguese, so we just read them in our natural accent and is mostly right. I always wanted to truly study japanese, but I'm a very lazy person, so never got to it...
ahh Portuguese. Very nice. I met few from Portugal before but most was other Latino countries. I heard that Latino Spanish don't understand Portuguese but Portuguese understand Spanish. Not sure why this is case. We get many from Latino American countries for \visit in Japan and yup, I'm 100% Japanese but I did travel in past when I was able. Not for few years now, since I returned just after Covid.
Thats really cool you are half Japanese. I find half and half people looks really cute because I used to not like our eye shapes and such but now I don't care lol. Its good you understand to write Hiragana and Katakana. They are very easy to learn. Just basic and you can easy make conversation in both, but Kanji is shit. i don't like it and still I find writing the symbols of many words are a pain in ass but we had to learn in school 2,000 symbols out of about 5,000 and to be honest, reading them is fine but we all find writing them to be hard. It is really hard because one word/symbol means many things and this is confuse to almost all foreigners so don't feel bad if you find them too hard. To be honest also, Romaji is basically English/Latin base letters, so it is also easy for me but most Japan only use Romanji for official documents because many English words or saying are lost in translate to Japanese. I always liked Portugal and South America, especially you guys have cool festival like the DelMorto.. I think this is the namer?? It is the day of the dead. Looks cool and also Carnivale, the costumes and fun is great. At least on TV looks great lol. I find many different culture are so interest and if I had money i will spend my life just travel the entire world, or at least the safe and good parts.
I probably would! My favorite ice cream flavours are mint chocolate, bubblegum, pistacchio and corn.
Here sweets from corn are very common. I find it very good!
Depends on your definition, I guess...
Meat is usually the flesh of the animal Gelatin is more of a byproduct of the meat industry? It's a substance extracted from the meat, instead of the meat itself? And I think gelatin comes more from the bones, so I don't really think it is considered a meat product.
It probably became a "food source" because it was plentiful and cheap. From some of the recipes that y'all have posted- it looked like they came from a time when people were poor-er and made the best with what they had available.
Kind of a "stone soup". It might be nasty by itself, BUT if we add other cheap ingredients to it- it won't be AS gross and it might last for 1 or 2 meals?
It's because of things like this that potato is my favorite vegetable. I can have a plate with just potatoes cooked in different ways and it will be good as hell!
Give me some mashed potatos with some potato chips, some french fries and a baked potato on the side and I'm a happy man.
Here we usually use a plastic bag kinda container, like a tissue paper, but waterproof, so the sauce won't spill from it. But I can't have one of these without getting a little messy myself. Hahaha
I just have to ask, because I would remiss not to- IS it also a potato bread? I just wanna know before I call the Mental Hospital on your behalf.
This is the Brazilian equivalent of Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Baked Beans, and Spam.
Here the most common cheese to use in dishes is named literally mozzarella, but that isn't really mozzarella. It's similar to a low-moisture mozzarella.
Okay, I was thinking it had to be a mild cheese. A mozzarella, asiago, or parmesan. Salmon is a strong flavor and you want it to complement the fish not overpower it or just make it taste weird. A mild smoked cheddar isn't bad with cold salmon.
"Shoujo" means "girl" in japanese, and its used as a genre for girls, just like "Shounen" is a genre for boys.
But it was a joke, I thought you were refering to Shoujo Ramune...
Well, IF i had the ability to store data on my jizz- that might be mildly helpful. You really have to wonder WHO these bored as fuck scientists are that come up with these factoids.
Here it not unusual eat bananas with savory foods. Some eat bananas even with rice and beans. There was also a dish that was a banana with ham and cheese wrapped over it (Not so common anymore, but stil exists).
On burgers they're usually sliced and flambé or lightly fried. Normally it is plantains/cooking bananas, but you can also use regular bananas. I like it a lot!
Okay, lets deconstruct this burger. Ciabatta bread?
Top: Is that mayo (applied with an ice cream scoop?) or a monterey jack or mozzarella?
Next: Are those tomatoes or some type of sausage?
Next: Are the things that look like the slugs the grilled bananas?
Next: Are those onions?
Next: Is that a cheddar or colby cheese?
Next: Is that patty rare?
Indeed it does. I still can't explain myself why pixelart is so nice looking. Perhaps its because the artists try to make the most out the limitation in pixel count, so each individual pixels is placed with way more care than just drawing in higher definition.
I think it's that AND as LucidDream said- it harkens back to a simpler 16-32bit time of the old NES games (AND let's be honest, there are quite a few loli games that have only been done in pixel art)...so maybe not so much a "preference" as it's "the only thing we can get". Also, I think they're just "cuter".
Mint ANYTHING. I agree with you and that face. WHY is most mouthwash "minty"- I'd probably use Conzi's rotten "Stormtrooper" fish flavoured mouthwash before I'd use mint. (NOW make that face.)
A regular Vodka or a flavoured one? A Citron? A Tequila possibly? Patron? Ooh, a margarita... Mmmm
Yeah, like I said above, it would have to be complementary cheese anything too strong and you ruin the fish. Damn, now I want Philly rolls... You...you...
Well, that's why we're having you committed. It'll be nice. They have a day room with games and after they give you back your shoelaces and your belt- they might let you go outside.
Cucumbers are only good after they've been sufficiently drowned in brine and dill seasoning.

There's regular corn on the cob at the beginning of fall, probably starting a couple weeks from now.
There is one more crop of sweet corn coming next week, then it's done for the year.
I've been trying to eat more fresh vegetables, so I'll see what the normal stuff is shortly.
Here is a chicken jello from an old recipe. My grandma made on similar to this with cheese pieces and no celery:

I think it has kind of worked for me. Like I said, as a distraction. As soon as I stop massaging the web part, it stops working. That's why I think it's the distraction.
And FYI, BC Powder is just Aspirin. The max strength has tylenol in it, too.

Norwegian, Swedish, Czech, German and English roots. All the bad food mixed together and they eat just the worst crap ever.
Nothing with spiciness, though. My immediate family is the one part of the family that eats jalapenos.
Yeah, there's a couple of "Walmart for booze" stores in the next city over. I'll have to check next time I'm up there.
I'm surprised an aunt hasn't found a way to steam it into a new disgusting food dish.
When have you ever had a cucumber that tastes like bread & butter pickles? You have to pickle, can and flavor them to change the way they taste!
I love pickles, too. I have 3 types of pickle in my fridge right now. But the cucumbers within taste like ass before pickling, IMO

Yes, a cucumber has to BE pickled to BE a pickle. I'm not sure what cucumber alchemy you're trying to use, but it won't work.
And If ANYBODY know anything about what ass tastes like...

Good morning my fellow lurkers! I don't know about the rest of you but it's ungodly early where I am and I'm stuck in my car for the next several hours

Dude today my wife and her fiends were out hiking next to a mountain in Alaska. Her friend isn’t in the best physic. We get up like 1/10 the way up and she wants to turn back. I said, “dude we’ve been sitting around the entire vacation, I’m climbing this mountain.” There’s a trail that takes 6 hours and it wraps all the way around to the top of a smaller mountain. Instead I B-line up the biggest mountain and just start climbing. They didn’t think I would get far 10-20-30 min go by I’m still climbing. After 2 hours I climb all the way to the top of the mountain. Most beautiful scenery I got my eyes to land on. #8,000 ft

Yeah, I have forgotten about it multiple times.
I remember mime(?) talking about that, it would be nice if it was 23 hours instead of 24 hours, so you could set it back.
Because right now, it will always move forward, even if you make it on time.
You know how to hit me!
Also how do you know me so well?

They say we're normaly around 60% water, but I've been on like 30% because of you! Please never stop being you!
I did that when I was grinding for my first buy - I was within about 100 coins and very new, and I don't know if backreaders were a thing, yet. Once the waiting period goes away, and you find this thread, it gets easier, but right at first, it takes a minute to figure it out.
AND I STILL CAN'T USE THE FUCKING TOOL BAR!
Submitted a ticket - I think it's a site/Firefox thing. Trying to find out if anything got changed in the architecture the last couple of days and to see if there's now a bad interaction with the browser. Same thing happened with Disqus a couple of months back.
And Ripples is a VN (currently playing the update). It has hidden renders and there's usually someone that puts a guide together for where to look. Most of them are obvious, but some are a pain, and the last two releases before this one had glitches that either didn't allow the trigger to work, or the trigger didn't show up where it was supposed to. I think it's because of the WT mod. I like to have the "canon" guide, but also play alternates - I just usually keep one path that goes the route the Dev intended as the "primary". They wrote the VN - I may as well honor their work and follow the preferred path in at least one play through.
Have you seen Let the right one in? It's a vampire book that had a couple different movies made of it no sequels just different movies like both late 2000's
Wait what? What are you trying to say Guwnknime?
*Lowly growls*
Oh okay, you want @Guz89, @Shawnchapp, @BeowulfKnight and @mime to pay you LC for your creation?
*Acknowledging growl*
Yeah, I'm thinking that's not gonna happen, technically they didn't create you, you were summoned, which means you already existed.
*Growl*
Okay, okay, yeah, maybe you're a bi product from all the posts, they have merged or deleted...
Oh wait a moment Guwnknime, I have something to do!
*Growl*
Oh yo.. You want to help? Okay, can't be worse than when I do it alone, good thing I had an extra robe made.
