Only flawed part was having one choice for some questions, in my case it was only one question like so.

Guys (as it's mostly guys - though it does appear that three women have now answered the survey),

Responses have slowed to a trickle. I got one further response yesterday. (We're now up to 81 responses.) And I think it's mostly a function of people not being aware of the existence of the survey. I've pinged the devs about the possibility of getting an ad up. Any other ideas about how to spread the word?

Meantime, I'm also working on writing up my first posts for a blog explaining my theories. After I get a couple of full posts written, I'll get that up.

Let me know if there are any ideas about how to advertise the existence of the survey.

I think one of the mods posted it in the lurkers thread the other day, you could always trying posting in there again to try and get people who might have missed it the first time.

OK, going too try to respond to all comments as best I can before I have to leave for work. More later.

1. Alex - Negative responses are just as powerful as affirmative ones, so, not boring. Either those answers will support my theory or they won't, and either result is just as interesting (as long as I actually publish my failure, which too many people don't).
2. Malaficus - I would never have guessed that you'd be into dominating women based on your name choice . I suspect that domination is not going to line up with the expected personality types. We'll see.
3. Harry - I know the survey is too damn long. If I'd had more time, it would have been briefer. (Attributed to lots of folks, including Churchill. Much older. Probably 17th Century and French in origin. I'll try to find the cite again.) I did want to list almost all the main kink tags on the site. I don't think many of them are relevant to my ideas, but some association may turn up that I don't expect, so hate to throw away potentially useful data. I really don't think it takes too long, but I did list 15-20 minutes in the intro for just that reason.

5. Spring - I'm too old for that shit, but still, I hope to make a contribution.
6. Matt - Lots of turn-offs is also just grist for the mill.

I'm sure others have said something along these lines but I haven't read all 4 or 5 pages.

What I will say is for me, my kinks are subjective to the media or real life.

In a game, comic, etc incest & harem are awesome and a turn on. Not so much in real life.. in fact the very opposite. Some do translate, like my views on scat are the same no matter what.

Also my tastes vary if I play a male or female mc game. The middle ground option in the survey could possibly be reworded to include that it you don't have strong feelings about it either way, or it depends on the situation.

I was expecting some kind of "seriously" or "dude, WTF" at the end, sort of like when personality test tell you that you are a horrible person, or when you get a graph with average result so far or something, but got nothing...

Not the case for me. Grew up with a brother and I'm freaky as fuck.
And it's only getting worse with age.

My hypothesis is that consensual incest among siblings is both more common than the normies wish or believe it is, and less common than incest fetishists wish or believe it is. The Westermarck effect is real, as is social taboo which means that many people fear being caught if they ever acted on inappropriate desires. Unfortunately a great deal of real-life incest (if not most of it) is nonconsensual and abusive.

The survey is very lacking in nuance. For example, the alpha/omega question. What if neither option applies to you. Or the sexuality question where you are either straight, gay, bi, or asexual. There are so many facets in-between those that aren't available and no way to elect an alternative option.

This is a very interesting point, and one that I've actually now added to the survey.

If anyone wants to go back in and update their survey, I've added questions 3 and 4 to cover this issue. I know there are hundreds of family issues that could be covered in the survey (as other comments have pointed out) but this is a particularly important point, since one of the main theories about being gay has to do with the number of older brothers one has.

Speaking from personal experience, I've got a major incest fetish, revolving around sisters and daughters. Luckily, I have only brothers and sons. Don't know what that means in the larger context, but I want what I can only imagine having....

To be clear, the choice I listed was "small is justice". I personally prefer half apples/peaches, but flat is far better than melons.

The survey is very lacking in nuance. For example, the alpha/omega question. What if neither option applies to you. Or the sexuality question where you are either straight, gay, bi, or asexual. There are so many facets in-between those that aren't available and no way to elect an alternative option.

Unfortunately, it's designed more for simplicity of analysis rather than accuracy. I tried to limit the number of possible responses knowing that it would force people to choose the closest answer rather than the perfect one.

Thanks to all for continuing to read and comment on the survey. I've gotten 12 new responses today so we're up to 92. I'll post updated results when we get to 100 responses.
