Okay, this is driving me crazy. Earlier this year, probably sometime in the last several months, I saw an image on baraag. It was the third in a sequence of image posts, though they were posted on different days and could possibly have been months apart. I downloaded them all to my computer and I could probably find the images if Windows Explorer's file search allowed the use of regular expressions so I could look through all of the images I've downloaded to my images folder this year that match baraag's file naming scheme.

The plot of the drawings is this: There's a black-and-white comic series somewhere out there. It's probably a newspaper-type comic strip, but it could be a webcomic. It reminded me of Family Circus and Sandra and Woo. There was a comic where a frustrated preteen girl with black hair was in her room in front of her closet or wardrobe, and shown naked from behind, saying she had nothing to wear. You can see her bare back and butt in the comic. It wasn't a serious type of comic; it was just a gag. The baraag artist reposted the comic panel, then posted another image they drew themselves as a reply to it, or vice-versa. It was the naked girl shown from the front, and it was in black-and-white to match the original comic's art style. In the next image the baraag artist drew and posted after that, a boy around her age shows up in her room, I assume another character in the source comic series, who is also naked and complaining about having the same problem. In the third image they drew and posted, I believe it was the same thing but with three kids now, another boy I think, but I'm not sure. The artwork was very well done and faithful to the source material, except of course for the fact that it showed the characters' genitals.

If I knew which comic series the original panel came from, I could search baraag for the images and find them. But I can't find the image, I can't figure out who drew and posted it, and I can't figure out what comic it came from. If baraag had a forum, I'd ask there, but it doesn't, so I'm asking here. Does anyone know what comic or artist this is from?

EDIT: I found it using an Explorer search query workaround. The comic is One Big Happy, the girl's name is Ruthie Lombard, and the artist is Mopgoblin. Here are links to the images:

I always used Agent Ransack. It's pretty good, but there are things that could be improved.

I just used Windows Explorer's search function, but I told it to only find PNGs created this year. Then, I added a bunch of extra statements to the end of the search parameters to exclude anything with the nine most commonly used letters and symbols that aren't part of baraag's hexadecimal filenaming system, an effective - though longer and uglier - alternative to my regular expression. I had no idea what the file was named beyond that, though, so I had to look through the search results visually using the Extra large icons view function until I spotted it.

I considered free search alternatives like Agent Ransack, but gave up on them when I found that none of them allowed me a visual display of the search results' thumbnails.

I wanted thumbnails, too, it's one of the improvements that could be made. But it's still very good nonetheless.
In that case I'd usually just copy all the files to a new folder (since images aren't that big on the size) and open the folder on explorer. After finding the file, I'd just delete it all.
Agent Ransack and Notepad++ are the softwares I use the most, no contest. It's very, very useful for me.
