I don't want to do X is a complaint about not wanting to do something and the unspoken words of that sentence are "but I still want the good or service so it should be free". That's 100% a complaint by definition. Complaint (noun) - a statement that a situation is unsatisfactory or unacceptable.

What would I be "projecting" for? I have Members+ and something like 30k in the bank considering I only interact here when I'm extremely bored or to post the occasional gaming news story. In both instances nobody really cares nor do I expect them to, but I'm definitely not projecting. At most the Apathy doesn't give me something to do for a few minutes by responding to a conversation chain and I simply find something else to do no harm no foul. The purpose of the site is the games repository and I have full access to it so my annoyance comes at the insistence of a vast number of people that think the cost of Members+ is too high or shouldn't exist at all. It gets old since it's literally a few hours work at most. Far less if you actually fall in line and join the senseless conversations that amount to nothing here.

I apologize for butting in, nobody addressed me so I really have no right to have an opinion, but If you allow me:
I think some of the complaining regarding the coins is due to the fact some people that want access to the members+ also want to remain anonymous, so "forcing" them to interact may be uncomfortable for them.

HOWEVER,
complaining about it is interacting.... so... that's kind off moot isn't it? If forced to interact, you might as well not use complaining to interact right? At best you kinda make yourself louder and more noticeable that way, and at worst people will just get pissed at you and that will make it harder for you to get to your goal. so as a tactic it is self defeating.


so, tl:dr, disagreeing with a coin system is one thing, but complaining about it across several posts and comments is not helpful to anyone.

Again, sorry for speaking out of turn here.

Morning. Sometimes, yeah. Roommates granddaughter moved in not long ago and gets stuff through Shein. She mentioned it once around me and then I started getting ads for it on my phone and stuff.

No I don't think so, but is is a fact that there is A LOT of that going on lately. Is is kinda the whole concept of freeware now (not sure this is the right word)

companies make more from collecting your data to sell to advertising companies than they do by straight up advertising to you. So it's not really nefarious, just.. they way the market works atm

Heat sucks. Makes you lethargic, and of you're doing manual labor makes you immediately feel swampy and exhausted.

I also genuinely find it amazing seeing people wear full suits to work in scorching heat.... like... HOW?!
