I think because it's a pain to move a website to onion for most of the users not already on tor. Since we're not doing anything illegal on it I find putting it out for the public is best otherwise the site gets buried and dies from lack of users.

What about a mirror with AI/P4 content not hidden behind P4?
I mean it's doable, but for me farming 24K to be able post non explicit non underage non photorealistic AI images (what I have been posting before wipe) is kinda an overkill.

Yeah, the portability was something I always thought was brilliant. Especially for the younger among us.

But, cell phones were already more powerful than a Switch when it came out, and all they've done since release is an OLED screen. I always hoped for a Switch Pro or something.

My current smartphone was more expensive than my Switch, and it isn't that good of a phone, so it makes sense that phones are more powerful than it.
And it even lasts way less if I decide to play something on it, compared to the Switch. Hahaha

They want to monopolize older generations of games. Which, we have seen, is bad for consumers. There's so many older games we can't even buy anymore. I guess that comes back to the shareholders again...

Yeah. I don't get why they don't just release it for a price. Despite being decades old, many, many people would buy the games again, and it would cost them almost nothing, since the games would take very dew server space, they already have the ROMs and the proprietary emulator.
That's why I said it's like they're on their own planet. If they wanted money at whatever costs, they would just do that.

the embarrassing thing about the switch is how easy it is to emulate those games on cheap Chineese devices. The console maker should eat a large portion of the install cost for the hardware and make money on the games but nintendo kind of took a weird sideways step with the switch. I think the main reason Nintendo is the only manufacturer that has to deal with emulation problems at this point is very telling of how much they're in the past compared with Sony and Microsoft.

That's a "wish in one hand" scenario for me. Nintendo is the only company that consistently makes money on consoles sales, Sony and M$ lose money per console sold. So, I doubt they'll change their minds with the huge amount of success they have. The new Nin console is set to be announced later this year, so we'll see soon enough.

They did the same thing when Wii U came out and disabled a bunch of old stuff on the Wii. Brought it back for the Switch and made bank, so I expect that to happen again. Of course, the Wii games you already purchased on the Nin store don't work on Switch.

VNThrowaway, you're going to have to find your own balance between the board rules, what's acceptable, and what kind of effort you want to put it. As long as it's within the board rules, do what you feel like.

the difference with nintendo tho is that it is japanese and their culture is heavily duty and responsibility-focused to both good and bad parts such as a good thing is that when nintendo had bad years the ceo and decision makers halved their pay to make it so that they did not need to fire anyone. the downside is that they work 6-days per week generally 10-12+ hours a day. whereas a regular workday here is 8 hours and that is 5 times per week. i am not defending the ceo's i wish we would give em the french revolution treatment since they are basically the aristocrats and kings these days.

Yeah, leftover pizza in the morning is great. Ever try giving leftover pizza the french toast treatment? Beat an egg, cover a slice, cook it up in a pan, delicious as hell.

Am I weird for also liking cold pizza? Whenever I'm having leftover pizza I usually heat some on the microwave and eat some straight from the refrigerator. Both of them are good in their own way.
