To be fair GameCube was more powerfull than the PS2, and it's still flopped hard. Also, the Switch doubles down as a portable.
Many of their public are casual players that don't care about graphics that much, so the battery consumption economy and lower price really helps the console for them.

I agree completely, although just causing mayhem in any GTA/RDR is just fun even if you've finished all the missions...

I have a friend that plays a lot of GTA online, so much he just leaves it on sometimes. I like to go pick up a hooker, park him in the middle of a street, and just let people interact.

Yeah, that part I agree. Yuzu developers were kinda sketchy, but that last threat was a huge blow to all emulation community...
Nintendo is really bad regarding emulation, retro gaming and fangames, and I don't know if they'll ever change.

Yeah, the portability was something I always thought was brilliant. Especially for the younger among us.

But, cell phones were already more powerful than a Switch when it came out, and all they've done since release is an OLED screen. I always hoped for a Switch Pro or something.

They want to monopolize older generations of games. Which, we have seen, is bad for consumers. There's so many older games we can't even buy anymore. I guess that comes back to the shareholders again...

you are quite kind, when i played a little gta online with a friend in our own lobby. whenever he had to go afk i usually welcomed him back in some sort of dead or dying way. on time i managed to snug one of those sticky remote explosives between his characters buttcheeks! there was no escaping me and my regular urge to kill his character when things started to get slow or boring.

Sure not all fault lies with companies but it definitely lies with the investors and ceo's your bobby kotick's, randy pritchford's, jeff bezos, elon musk and bill gates who took advantage of this without ethics or remorse to get profit.

I will however agree we do vote with our wallets and they will do whatever they can get away with same as how the government can take power away from its citisens imperceptably over time with taxes.

Well, it's like Kuraiken said, "Games are no longer being made BY gamers." It's decided in boardrooms, with pie-charts, cost analysis, profitability reports, and all that "non-gamers" bull-shit.
