discussion Do folks like to check out abandoned games?

For stories, I do not cause I don't enjoy cliffhangers, would be frustrating.
For sex scenes, if the previews look good, I will check it out, definitely.

Which is a very good reason not to put cliffhangers. Same for the end of TV seasons (because it could get cancelled without ever resolving.)

I didn't even think to compare with TV shows, but you're absolutely right.
A self contained story in each update, or like an episodic/slice of life type of deal would work well with adult games.

Honestly yeah, sometimes its because I don't even recognize that its abandoned in the first place, other times its simply because I'm curious about the game

I'm only ever interested if there is enough content. I usually never play abandonded games with only one or two updates.

I may check it out if it's gotten really good reviews, but the idea that it's never going to be finished is kind of a hard sell.

If I know it's been abandoned before I download it, then no I usually don't. I suppose if it's been lavished with praise i might? But everyone has such different taste that I can't even count on good reviews.

I'm not going to say that I like watching abandoned games but I watch them anyway. sometimes they are advanced enough to be interesting, sometimes they are resurrected.

Sometimes I check them out but usually I avoid them because I don’t want to fall in love with the characters and then get nothing further.

I'll check them out if they got a good bit of story done if its still demo like v0.1 then no point really.

If the art style is decent, and it has a decent amount of content I will check it out. But if it's an abandoned game v0.1 I don't give it more than a look

I don't even want to start them, cuz I'll just be waiting for when it gets cut off. No more of the girl(s) I'm romancing or fugging. No end to the story I've started.

My filter for games is usually just completed and abandoned so that I don't have to check a game more than once, i don't really care about conclusion, of course I also check the recently updated ones.

Only if it's a mainly porn game, if it's supposed to have some story hook then nah.

one of my favorite shows of all time was canceled and i still enjoy it immensely, it's a shame it won't continue but if there's a decent amount of content that I enjoy i still wouldn't want to miss out on it so I'll still try out abandoned games and enjoy what is there.
