I'm all for some positivity! And I don't for 1 second think this is the end of us. But, regardless of the outcome, I still think it's maddening.
When the first incident like this happened, it brought in the coin system, which I'm actually an avid supporter of and I think it did great. So, I know we can arise again happier and healthier. I'm actually moving into the opposite direction.
It sucks right now, sure, and it's a lot of work for the admins & mods, but I think once the dust has settled, a lot will be brought back, just not into the public area.
As community, we're going to have to control each other & stop people from posting violating content in the public space, admonish people & report posts, and then we're going to (mostly) go back to how it was. Just not any AI lewds in this thread (which sucks) but maybe there's going to be a P1 or P4 image thread where people can focus more on that again.

But at the end of it? The silly moron will have made a little trouble and we're going to have measures that ultimately make the forum easier to moderate without limiting AI art. (Only limiting it to certain sections)

The only thing that really still irks me is the loss of cool avatar images I've gotten so used to. Now THAT pisses me off.

Makes me wish that I'd been a better writer in my classes in college.

The "silly moron" as you aptly described them inspired me for a book, that I'm no where good enough to write... so I'll share the title with all of you and maybe if any of you are a budding writer, you'll be inspired too.

It's even G-Rated as a title: The Last Puritanical.

Now, whether the book IS G-Rated... is up to you if you do write it or one like it.
