Django, Hateful Eight, 3:10 to Yuma, Bone Tomahawk, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Hostile, True Grit.
All great movies, but I haven't seen The ballad of lefty brown so I'll check that one out!

High Noon probably. Maybe Rio Bravo.

I have to put "Django Unchained" at the top of my list. I love all Tarantino movies and this is an absoloute masterpiece and great hommage to the Italo Western genre.

"Hatefull8" is great too but in my opinion not as good as Django.

From there id go with the classics:

The Dollar Trilogie by Sergio Leone
Once upon a time in the West
Outlaw Josey Wales
Unforgiven
Last of the Mohicans
Two Mules for Sister Sara
and all Bud Spencer and Terence Hill western movies.

In terms of comedy ones, The Three Amigos.

Many people might not count it because it was animated and made for a younger audience, but I have quite the soft spot for Rango.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, no doubts(y)

I'm not sure why this is even up for discussion. Of course it's:

Magnificent Seven (Original)
The story was simple, the actors were amazing and the cinematography were top-notch

The last one I resaw recently : Django Unchained. Though I would give an honorable mention for The Magnificent Seven.

With all due respect, I find the original Magnificent Seven (Seven Samurai, 1954) an order of magnitude stronger. Yes, it's not a western in terms of setting, but rather a western-like stylization in relation to 16th century Japanese realities.

That isn't a western.

I see what you mean by "Western" in the sense of "Western." I thought you meant everything that wasn't Far Eastern
Yeah, the thread was talking about what's called Western here - taking place in the Western US, generally in the mid to late 19th century
