well I'm just learning about this game and Patreon is the way to purchase it? My only concern is what I'm reading in the comments here about you (the dev) removing content when you update the game? I don't know the paticular's so I cant assume that but I also know that having content removed sucks, I've had that happen with a couple of PS5 games.
The implicit promise of starting a game with certain content. You then didn't have the backbone to keep the premise(removing lolis, you know, the thing people even played your game for?) as it was for over half the game (Assuming this game will be over in two full updates, if it even ever does get completed)
Updating scenes to make em improve the game somehow is different from changing it in a way that should remove this game from the Sinner's Section (and replace any taboo in it with cookie cutter template that you'll find in every harem game on F95
I'm not a loli game dev and only even started playing AVNs around 2019, iirc. I have only once shared my real location on discord around 2017 and that is a mistake I will not make again

If it's really that much of a concern just don't sub to AVNs still in development; wait for a completed tag, if that happens. That will reduce your risk of being sorely disappointed/ripped off to almost 0. After getting the rug pulled from under me dozens of times over the years I no longer sub before 0.5, and even then sometimes shit happens (if not simply abandoned). It's mostly from lolis getting later removed/deformed, but also what starts out as biological incest getting revealed as stepcest all along later in the story, most likely to kiss the asses of Patreon, Sins of The Father a recent example of that I came across. Chasing Sunsets also keeps it ambiguous and flipping back and forth in the story every update, probably more of an attempt to troll Patreon than anything. As far as CL last I heard really nothing is removed other than the April scene, which you had to pay $20 to get anyway (never was in the free version). Last I heard the other scenes that were removed from the story were just put into a separate menu entry for those that still wanted to fap to those, so it's not like they will never be seen again without loading an older version like alot of AVNs like The Doors, where the cowgirl creampie ride with Gina on the couch during the thunderstorm (probably my favorite sex scene in the whole AVN so far) was removed from S1 for whatever dumb reason (so if you didn't keep a separate save folder and the old version of The Doors S1 its gone). Summer's Gone was another one. If you liked Nami's assjob in the hot tub, too bad, Ocean removed it in the latest update, much to the horror of most of F95 to the point a mod was made to put it back in the gallery at least, all because the greedy bastard wanted to avoid an adult rating on Steam, even though it's supposed to be a fucking porno game (with the adult rating that goes with that). I could type for days listing other examples, there's just too many so scenes getting removed from AVNs still under contruction or that get reworked is nothing new and certainly not unique to CL (quick mention of The Cabin, scene of MC losing his virginy and creampieing April at the waterfall = gone, now just a handjob at best in 0.5).
Just take other precautions, fuck the police/authorities. If real C P can thrive with 100k sites up at any given time on the tor network (ie Darknet) I don't see how a cartoon porn game can't, no matter what content it has. Where there's money and will, there's a way. If need be just take a few pages from their playbook: 100% paywalled and need a tor browser to buy it with BTC only. Of course then you're competing with cartoons against the real thing, but since the cartoons are at least legal in the sane half of the world that's an advantage. But if you really want to do it 100% legally just move to a part of the world where it's legal, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what Ketzal did, but since this one probably doesn't have that kind of income it's probably not worth doing that.
Not a critic, just curious, why exactly removed April? I mean, why her and not the others "cuestionable" characters? How do you draw the line in there?
Simple answer is she looked like she was 10 or something like an actual loli, and AOC where Ricoh is is 16, so to be legal even cartoons there have to look at least 16. Sadly in alot of places you can't legally make a loli and simply call her 18 in some obvious-bullshit-disclaimer like in the US, which is mostly done to get around corporate censorship (lewd lolis are 100% legal otherwise here as long as they are not modeled after real kids, though AI-made still a grey area since possibly real kids can be used to train the AI, which is probably why even ATF started disallowing uploads of lewd animations of the loli from Detroit: Become Human, since she's based on a real prepubescent actress).
That's make sense with Emily, but Lauren... You can say "She's 16!" as loud as you can, but to think that some law enforce or some restrictive site will take that seriously is just wishful thinking. In fact, she looks exactly like some of the characters that leaded to the fall of Westly. Not trying to justify the previous (and highly unpopular) decision to erase all loli LI, but seems that would be the only real way to got the game totally in the clear (and probably killong it). Once you decides to develope games with lolis, the only safe way to survive seems to be duck and cover as much as you can. That's why I'm curious about the decision here. At the end of the day it depends on what is enforceable or likely decisions in court. Cartoons do not have birth certificates so 16 vs even 13 can be a matter of opinion. The character that was removed (April) it would be pretty much a unanimous jury that she's not 16, for multiple reasons (in an orphanage, 4' tall, not just no tits but flat as a board, personality and the way she acts, etc). And not everywhere is as anti-loli-hardcore as Australia, that pat themselves on the back for arresting an artist that simply made and sold 3D cartoons. In alot of countries where even lolis are illegal hunting down those that draw them are simply not the priority over more important cybercrimes, like I dunno, maybe real C P, though even with help from 180 other gov'ts barely make a scratch in that.

I am by no means a supporter or even a defender of RIC0H's, as my post history in this very thread proves, but as a quick note, unless he specifically said it's over in two full updates, this is an unsupported assumption. "0.8.1" just means "the first bugfix patch of the eighth update" in standard software versioning (semver). Two full updates from now will be "0.10.0", with the next full update after that being "0.11.0", and so on.
Eh, I didn't put a lot of thought into that specific sentence, my post was more about Ricoh's character itself maybe not being trustworthy but maybe that's just my low faith in humanity in general
Really no need to head for Japan in particular, which is very difficult due to what some would call racism, they don't like importing outsiders and esp so for whites/non-Asians, it tends to be difficult even if you marry a Japanese native, it's in part why there's a slowly growing age-demographic crises there. There's lots of other countries that either simply don't care about what cartoons are depicting or are with laws that are nearly impossible to enforce (ie US due to the First Amendment vs getting something legally declared obscene in court, which is rare and almost never happens anymore).

so Ric0h's character is in question by you? Because he sought out legal advice before adding in lewd content of April making sure what he had would not put him into legal problems. Sounds to me as if Ric0h's character is the ideal for a trustworthy dev. At least Ric0h did not just abandon his game like all the other dev's when PF's dev got done wrong. This way he can keep providing content without having to abandon the whole game.
As soon as an Uploader gets the report I am sure that it will be added.
