Yeah, most of the time. Although for taboo type games, I use the hot girl cousin names from the old country. Even if an aunt character I will use a cousin, because I don’t want to picture an actual aunt … comfortable with the cousins though, and plenty to pick from because the bred like rabbits back there & then…

I usually don't change the name of the characters, but if I had to I'd use my first name or something similar for the MC.

I usually just go with whatever the default name is unless it's excessively bad or obviously placeholder-y (like John Doe or whatever), in which case I come up with a normal-sounding name on the spot. I guess I lack creativity.
