Can't speak for anyone else but personally:

DanielsK games. All the ones I've played through had similar issues- dull stilted dialogue, plot that starts with what should be an interesting or mysterious premise but kinda meanders into nothingness, and a rushed flop of an ending.

Most Lessons in Love clones. Lot of games that imitate the basic features of that one without really getting why they work, so they just wind up uninteresting (and also really really wordy).

I'd argue that Lessons in Love itself should be on the list. I haven't played in a while now, but when I did it was the most tedious damned thing I ever played. I'd rather grind than go through that much friggin story. Don't bother with Heros' Harem Guild either, it's gone into Ecchi Sensei territory.

there's one called "the hard way" where your choice actually gets reflected in the models themselves, and that's the only game I've seen do that. not necessarily my biggest recommendation due to the grind the game imposes on the player, but its an interesting concept.

Depends on the type of game.
Assassin's Creed Origins for regular games. Loved exploring ancient Egypt, and found the combat to be fun.

If we're talking about porn gams, then it'll have to be Artemis. Great visuals, writing, even music. Oh and a lot of hot/cute girls.

Stardew Valley for me. Picked it up super cheap on sale a few years ago and I had a blast playing through it. Really enjoyed fishing and planning the layout of my farm. Need to jump back in some time.
