I believe that's the only way to start a relationship with Jade and her family, but you can gradually modify it into a much nicer relationship over time, with Jade and both her daughters starting to care for the MC instead. I do not believe Jade's family is necessary to keep seeing Alex, but they're worth it, especially Kira, who is the first of them to start willingly doing stuff with the MC.

Yes and RL happens sometimes. Westy has been a reliable poster for a long time. He has many long standing relationships online, so I am waiting this out. He will turn back up when he is able to. And I will be ready to play the next release when that happens.
