Of course, eye color matters. If you want a Mutant go with Blue. If you do NOT want a Mutant, then go with some other color. No really, blue eyes are a mutation.

P.S. Not sure about green, but I don't think that eye color is a mutation.

Hmmm, I never noticed the greenish in Hazel eyes before - but your not wrong...! I just always considered Hazel to gravitate towards the "Brownish" color IMO!

Yeah, I looked it up and the word we are looking for is Amber. Amber is more to the brown spectrum with yellow involved. Brown eyes account for 79% of the human population.

want to hear something funny? under our iris whatever color its underleyment is blue, anyone (who can afford it) can get the pigment lasered off and end up with blue eyes. even if you have black eyes

actually everyone has blue under their iris, so you can get the pigment lasered off and have blue eyes.

I feel like I can't give a specific preference because it depends on what the character looks like as a whole. If their eyes pop and make the character look intriguing, I'd say that's my favorite, but if their eyes match the design, I would also say that's my favorite. So basically, I'm sitting on the fence exclusively
