Moonbox for just dragging along the grandma for so long

TLGGGames for abandoning A.O.A Acadamy which had some of the best looking female characters in this adult vn world

Clevernamegames for dragging the fuck out of Single Again, being in development for 4 fucking years and still not being anywhere close to having content with the daughter Abby that was teased from the start

AOA Academy abandonment was a surprise. Didn't expect it at all.

Taffy tales. They just started taking way too long, then they decided to go way to much into ntr, then they went into Ai art. I think they had a quality game, but then they didn’t want to actually progress the story which would mean the game would end and they would need a new project. Whatever, we move on

Did I miss L&P?
Do you mean Lust & Power by Lurking Hedgehog?
Because if you did I'm seconding that vote, we're on what, the 4th remake that resets production from the start?
It's gotten to the point where when I see an update I just go to the latest comments to see if we're back to the previous content.

Not gonna be picking an abandoned game or a dev that switched gears from "No NTR" to "NTR is the main focus now".
Zargon Games, but specifically their 2nd game "Rovering to Sussex" co-developed w/ Reflexbound
Their 1st game "Young Again" is a pretty vanilla game w/ some kinks like urination and such, all optional. I really like it.

They hyped up their upcoming 2nd game, they said it's gonna be a wholesome game and I thought it would be like Young Again since it's pretty wholesome yeah.
Turns out their definition of "wholesome" is different from what I've understood. The 2nd game is filled w/ swinging/sharing, voyeurism, getting sloppy seconds, all what you expect to be red flags on a wholesome game or even on Harem games w/ the voyeurism and seeing future LIs getting dicked by other males. I guess they consider it "wholesome" since everyone is okay with it, but it's certainly not Vanilla so that's why I don't like it. They say that all fetishes are avoidable, but if you're not into water sports or voyeurism then enjoy having almost no content. I can understand they want to be somewhat realistic where-in most females will be in an existing/past relationship already before you arrived since the story is You, as the MC, moved to another city and this Friend group was already established way before you arrived. I totally get that, but I'm not really interested playing a realistic game like that. I'd get enough of that much IRL. So yeah sorry for the rant, the game isn't for me. I'll move on, and anyone else who likes this type of game has this for their enjoyment. No harm done to anyone we're all good.

Now with that out of the way, what let me down? The fact that if I support the first game via Patreon/Subscribestar, since profits & development time is shared between the 1st & 2nd game, my support will be shared between the 2. I only want to fund & support the 1st game since I like it, I don't want to support the 2nd game since it's not for me. It's like paying the expenses for someone I know and there's someone else I hate leeching from it. It's fine when the 2 games are on the same direction or same genres, but if those 2 are the opposite of each other, then it's not for me. I knew a dev that is developing 1 Harem game & 1 NTR game. They made SEPERATE pages for it since he knew that most people will only support 1 out of 2 games since they're complete opposites, and it was a great idea.

Runey, F.Lord, Irphaeus. All had promising games, all are now spinning excuses and putting two updates at most a year

All the blueballing ones.

I am right there with you. My gripe here, dudes that want to build a tolkein-esque world... by themselves... in their free time. That shit takes a lifetime (or two, if you have a dedicated son like Tolkein or Frank Herbert) to build those intricate worlds. And then, to not get bored with it!

Then they get me on the hook and break my heart.

Maybe obvious one but ICSTOR is still no 1 for me. Cause to have that amount of followers and name in the business and let it all go is something i just dont understand.

SuperWriter cause he has good concept but doesn't use full potential and leave unsatisfied.
Icestor cause he's a scammer.

Really? After finish of FTL I became a supporter of Superwriter. For me Lust & Passion, for being one of those sex-hating devs that make boring games. No offense meant to the dev actually using the name, Boring Games, as the one definitely isn't.

Secret Summer by Superwriter was going to be my favourite one but the writing was so half assed and even the sex scene was so unsatisfactory. From the beginning it was so good like it was going to be a great VN but alas it's mid.

That one was not so good. Another trying to force with mom one, and ending was lacking.

After pondering his question some more I'd have to say almost every adult VN developer will let you down at one point.

Whether it's burnout, lack of funds, or they just loses interest. It always happens eventually.

I've noticed far too many don't plan ahead and just do it on the go, then get tired of it and rush a half-assed ending (or abandon it, or redo from the start - same as abandoning and starting a new one as far as I'm concerned. Not interested in playing through from the start again.)

Quite easily the one who made Milfy city :D
