What is the message you understand, because there is no message at all. There is a difference between pirate forums and channels where you share official posts. Leaks do not follow the developer's schedule. Developers can make their own official posts as they wish. Pirate forums allow developers to reach a wider range of players. If your game is good enough, then you can find more support. You can't rule against a pirate. If such a thing existed, companies wouldn't allocate such large budgets for DRM for AAA games today.

I played your game and update and I also stated that I liked it. Frankly, I couldn't understand the reason for this reaction. I hope you get more support because frankly, you're doing a job that deserves it.
And then people wonder why devs stop being active in forums like this.

They can. This is their choice. You think the Developers are here because they love you so much? As I said in my previous message, to reach a wider range of players and get more support. These forums are an advertising hub for developers. Also, I'm a developer. So your criticism is pretty pointless. If you're against leaks, what are you looking for on the pirate forum?

#1 The dev owns the thread.
#2 The dev is active in the thread.
#3 The dev regularly posts his updates to the thread.
#4 Leaking it does not help the dev.
#5 Yes we are considered a pirate forum like all the other but we try to respect he devs and welcome them to our forums.
#6 This is for everyone and also the reason for posts being deleted.

5.) LC user conduct

  1. a.) Be polite and respectful to others, even in disagreements. Constructive opinions and factual arguments are encouraged. Avoid flame wars or offensive behavior.

I understand. I didn't know i violated rules by posting leaks on the pirated game platform. I won't do it again. I hope no one does and after a while, we will see together who will be the biggest loser from this situation. I don't think it makes much sense to be on a pirate sharing platform where "insults are allowed" and "leak sharing is prohibited." Have fun everyone.

To calm things down a bit, I'll be publishing the game here tomorrow. I'd prefer to finalize a few things for a nice public version. I'll continue to post my public version here. I've got nothing against anyone, and I'd prefer to keep things nice and friendly. I won't talk about leaks or anything else. I love this forum and the people who run it. As long as it's possible for me to take part in the forum, I'll do so.

Your good. he is just going off on his tangent. I didn't delete his leaked links but I did delete the insulting posts more from other users and only one of his. So I have no clue what his issue is now... Would be best if he stops though.... I am not someone he should annoy..

Based. This is why I love this forum. Actual respect to the creators.

You seem not to get the difference. You leaked the game one (ONE) day before the developer promised to publish it here. So there is no actual meaning or gain for us. The developer has always respected the schedule and never delayed. Waiting one day is not that much of an effort even for us poor pirates. If we can have the game for free and not damage the developer it seems to me a win win situation. Do we want developers to abandon games? I can wait for the public releases and give developers a little margin.
Different is when developers do not publish anything for free, in that case you can expect that it will be released in a pirate forum without any control by the developer.

LC in general tries to strike a reasonable balance: Devs who own their threads decide when to post public versions of their games, but if something stays paywalled or unreleased for too long, whether the dev owns the thread or not, it can be leaked and a mod will edit the OP to include the leaked links regardless of what the dev wanted... However, like has been said a few times, leaking when the dev already said he was literally posting a public version a day or two later is a bit of a dick move, especially since ketzal has been really communicative and receptive in this thread, even to people like me who don't like aspects of his game.
