Complete KN Ren'Py DAZ The family in trouble [v0.9] [lonely wolf]

I guess it depends on where they are. In the US no protections are necessary, as all forms of cartoon/render art are legally protected speech by default, includiing naked kids having sex, even if it's with animals or their grandpa outright beating and raping them or anything else imaginable. I suppose in theory some bored risk-happy prosecutor could try to go after obscenity charges (in an age where the Miller test doesn't really apply anymore, since just about everything can be argued to have artistic merit), but that hasn't even been attempted in 15 years (last one was for some dude's imported manga comic collection, ended in a wrist-slap plea bargain), since no one has wanted to risk having the Supreme Court overturning the relevant law (Protect Act, that also addresses real **) just like the previous law that tried to ban loli cartoons was back in 2003. Chloe herself said she was 12 in the dialog, so that kinda negates that disclaimer anyway.
even still, the statement of intent is an important disclaimer in an age where offended people can take issue and attempt to pursue "justice." A statement of intent immediately makes it more difficult to pursue through legal channels for any charge associated with this type of material (obscenity included) because in several key case the intent of the work was what ultimately either saved or convicted the individual. Stating its fictional, not based in reality and that the models represent characters over the age majority and that there in no intent by the artist to create anything otherwise is just a good cya habit to have in order to offer a level of protection beyond just hoping the winds of "justice" don't change.

Eh my incest-focused AVN is going to be mostly the opposite of all that, since I'm not all that worried and sometimes like to gamble on occassion just for the adrenaline rush. Instead of a bunch of ad nauseum repeated disclaimers I'll just own up to it. The opening title card (thinking a style similar to the scrolling intro to the Star Wars movies) before the main menu will be something like:

"If you are an easily-offended snowflake this is probably not the AVN for you. Unlike most fictional/coincidental AVNs this one is mostly nonfiction based on a true incest story (mostly set in Ohio where sibling incest perfectly legal) and not at all fictional, other than changing names to protect the innocent (or the guilty, depending on your unimportant moral opinion of sibling incest). Also no one in this AVN is 18, the actual people the characters are based on are a range of ages from newborns to 40+. Also, the statute of limitations of the statuatory rape and similar scenes depicted expired ages ago, so if you are offended by that, tough shit, you're a couple years too late, and as stated previously this is probably not the AVN for you. I also don't care if you are 18 or not and won't even give you an opportunity to possibly lie by asking, since everyone does on these things if they bothered to download it if asked and need to to play it. Now, on to the story..."

Now, if some remotely important snowflake wants to throw a silly tantrum (and it would be silly, as no one will be Clockwork Oranging them and forcing them to continue to read/view my AVN after that intro) and sue me, let them, I'll see them in court and probably get the Free Speech Coalition (that had the original 1996 law that tried to ban loli cartoons overturned by the SC in 2002) to back me up. Maybe even overturn the 2003 Protect Act if it gets appealed that far. Very doubful anyone will try as proving obscenity in 2023 via 50yo Miller Test is probably not gonna happen with any decent lawyer worth his salt, otherwise this site and dozens similar to it along with thousands of developers would have been sued for obscenity already, disclaimer or not, it's why the gov't simply puts pressure on payment processors to do the dirty work for them as an end-run-around (which should also be illegal for the gov't to do imo if the gov't itself can't legally do so, but thankfully with crypto that can be an end-run-around to their end-run-around).

Damn

trying to understand the developers note "the harem route will be unlocked: rejecting Sophie"
Doesn't rejecting mean not part of the harem?

Not sure what's up, but the english in the last update is... yea..

This update was INCREDIBLY short. Here's hoping for longer ones in the future.

You have to
go out on the date with Sophie and reject her when she asks you to run away with her to get the harem ending in this update.

Well, it wasn't that short, if you play from the scene where Sophie asks to run away and you get to choose. It splits into two paths. Each path individuelly is really short, but both combined are somewhat of the same size of the last updates. Not sure, if it's really worth to develope two paths simultaneously, if each update is so incredible short on each on.
But at this point I'm a bit confused. He said on pixiv, that he can't continue the game, but at the end of this update, he promotes his Patreon page (IMO, really dumb decision, because we all know, Patreon kisses Paypals ass even more). In addition the choice I mentioned feels like we're forced to ONE LI and not to a harem path, but now the dev notes here, say, that rejecting Sophia leads to a harem path? WTF is happening here? Not to mention the way each path plays out. Choosing Chloe triggers a chain of events, that could only interpreted as a shit show and running away with Sophie is exactly that, with no additional infos about the future.
That is not a favorable situation IMO. I'm wary at this point and on the edge of dropping it, but will wait for now.

I am very happy to see that the game has not been abandoned!?

please upload somehwere else workupload blacklists tor and annon files is very slow

What is this based on? And no, there's no tag for kidnapping.
Probably referring to the running away with Sophie (the loli ginger girl) which isn't really kidnapping if we base it on them all being over 18 (before people bitch I don't actually remember her stated age). She consensually ran away with the mc, in fact she suggests it in the first place.

From what you're saying, it sounds like it needs a runaway tag. :P Which we don't have, either. Lol

It's perfectly logical. When you reject her request, she's included in the harem. But if you accept and run away with her, you only get her.

That's not the only English problem, there's this too:

It should be "it": "I loved IT as much as you did".

And this - Diane becomes Alice with "his" pronoun on top of that. :D

Translating from Spanish to English, pronouns are difficult to use correctly. They need a proofreader who has English as their native language or is better trained in its usage. :)

Caught first with Sophie and then with Chloe. Very bad times for MC

Great game, nice characters and nice scenes.
Big cliffhanger at the end of 0.8.
Let's see where that takes us.
