Dunno what trouble he would get in beyond the internet censorship that he's already getting anyway. There's really no legal reason to pretend a cartoon is 18 if they are not meant to be in the story, as in the US loli cartoons are legal due to free speech (the law banning them was thrown out over 20 years ago by the Supreme Court), even if the default canon ages are 7yo (or any other age). It would have to be proven to be obscene in court, and good luck with that in 2023 (and hasn't even been attempted in 15 years under the Protect Act, and that ended in a wrist-slap plea bargain since the AG didn't want to risk having that law eventually thrown out as well which it probably would have been). I guess he lives in some other easily-offended-snowflake/prudish country? It is not a legal issue, it is a distribution issue. If private companies do not want to host his games because of that content, that is the issue and "trouble" I was referring to. Like, the problem he is currently having with Itch.
Well, with mine when the time comes I'll just put it on SS. Though it seems for some reason they are already showing cracks in their anti-censorship stance, when even Lewdcorner has to use loopholes and upload weekly renders few care about just to get SS subs that just support Lewdcorner, or when loli AVNs don't even show up in search without paying first = how is one supposed to pay if they can't find it? (chicken and egg conundrum there). If by that point SS not wanting to host it ends up being the actual case I'll host it myself on my own site and my own server (not too difficult, maybe a few thousand $ to pay an .html guru to design/build it +$130 a month for the unlimited 1GB/s fiber connection I already have and maybe $1000 for the actual dedicated server) and put links to it here for the free version. Visa/MC give me the middle finger = then I'll simply rent a PO box and do it the old fashioned way for those that don't want to pay those BC fees (around $2+5% but varies wildly with demand) or ACH/EFT fees with direct bank transfer: cash/check/mo in the mail with a note with their email address to send dl links (paid vs free releases will be 3 months apart apart instead 3 days since snail mail is slow). If drugs and real child porn can work with cash only for decades and still make a trillion $ a year (probably more, 90% of every bill in circulation around the globe has traces of cocaine on it, probably why the UK switched to plastic bills, they are more durable and stay "clean" longer) taboo AVNs can too when there's enough determination.

Yeah it's not too big of a leap from there to just start my own SS and not give a fuck what people buy/sell on it as long as it's legal. Just take everyone's bank acount numbers for payments and do the processing myself with Visa/MC totally out of the loop and the bank fees are similar to Paypal's, around 3% (could charge 4% and keep 1% to cover operating costs, still half of Patreon's 8% and even cheaper than SS's 5%, with 0 censorship as a bonus). Banks themselves couldn't care less what's bought/sold (they certainly enjoyed Bernie Madoff's multimillion-dollar transaction fees), and are only legally required to watch out for terrorism funding and money laundering.
On his SS he said he's not rendering when it's hot (I'm assuming he has no AC), so prob several months after summer is over, since it's going to get hotter before cooler (summer doesn't even start until next week). An early half-release was just released on SS (0.7.1) so that might show up here in a few weeks (mostly menu and other changes/tweeks, not much as far as more story other than 1 new Megan scene on Day 4, because that takes more renders).

Well, I'd be getting some AC when it's getting in the way of my livelihood (people tend to pause their subs when there's not going to be a real update for more than a month or 2). In a pinch (if electricity was expensive or something) I'd run an extension cord outside, buy a tent and render it in there (with the flaps open when it's not raining). Or simply buy a $20 fan and having it blow outside and not sleep in the same room you render in and keep the door shut while having it blow inward with door open while posing.Lots of Europeans don't bother with AC.

Eh I'd just live underground if it was that bad. Just 8-10 feet of dirt is a great insulator even if the surface is 400F. Geothermal power+ grow plants underground for food and O2 = screw the surface, let it burn like Venus, as underground would still eventually be enough for 50-100M humans (more than that is a waste of resources anyway and 3+ billion of them is what got us in our current predicament). And even then it will take thousands of years, as to even have a chance of that happening both poles also need to completely melt with ice only existing artificially. And yeah, no way in hell I'm doing without AC with 3 PC's running, even if the power comes from the blood and tears of everyone else. Though I do usually have it set at 78F (warm but bearable) to save on the power bill, don't need to live in a fridge.Eh, since Environmental Collapse is unavoidable at this point, I would just shell out the extra bucks for running AC in the summer. At least you will be comfortable while the Earth slowly roasts humanity as a whole to death
That was the first thing I thought of when he made that declaration. I will be stopping my support until the next release. This release is zero new content. Just bells and whistles. Now I have to admit, some of the new "upgrades" are a nice addition to the playability of the game.
Yeah I'm paused as well, the qol changes are nice but to me the story is what I pay for.
