As I said in one of my devlogs, when I started SSP I was really an amateur (I still am). My code was naive and full of problems (but it still worked). Today a real coder works on the game, and he brings so much. The problem is that he fixes the errors I created at the very beginning, and so we have problems maintaining both codes. Little by little, he corrects everything. I apologize for the many bugs, but it shouldn't last.

No problem man, this game is one of a kind, its in a league of its own. Down the line might be you could put Macy and this one together , it becomes like a chronological saga.
I restarted the game and it worked fine. The dialogues changed. Keep up the good work. Best of luck.

@ketzal I avoided looking at that game for month, because of the word "pain" in the title.
I can't stand any violence against minors, but now I think the title is misleading according to the tags...

I had this problem as well earlier. (even posted it here but then I deleted it as I found a solution).
Dunno if it will work for you, but for me worked, if I deleted the persistent file . After that it worked just fine.

Thanks for responding. It didn't work. I found two files marked Persistent, one ending in .py, the other .pyo. Deleting both did nothing, and deleting persistent.py did nothing. This is weird, though: If I delete the persistent.pyo file by itself, it instantly restores itself. So, I guess the file is well-named.

changing the name from alice to something else is still not working sometimes.
would be cool if we could change every name and age ingame by ourself.

So sorry for being annoying. Love this game and was really sad that something might be broken.
Was just such a relief when i heard the first sounds.

would be cool if we could change every name and age ingame by ourself.

You can try this extract the game files using unren. Then drag and drop characters.rpy into notepad and edit the names there to your liking and then select save as change text documents to all files and then click on the characters.rpy and overwrite it. Now in game the characters names will appear to what you changed them to. Make sure to do this when the game is off and then bring the game back up so that the changes will be added.

I remember there was a music mod from koga3 with the first releases, maybe you used it also. In the meantime I think he discontinued since the game has now it's own music.

My game is not for everyone, and if you want to delete it and never play it again, I will understand.

Explain to you why the story is the way it is? I could, but I invite you to think carefully about your decisions in the game. If you have this ending in V6, it's because you made 3 very specific choices. These choices led to this ending. I could discuss why, but if you read the dialogues well you will understand. Look at the doctor, look at the motorcycle in front of the school.

That wasn't his mom, that was his wife. Cassey keeps changing her hair style so I can see why it can get confusing. I wish she'd stay with the blonde look though, because it's the sexiest. If that was a wig, eh.

Once you play the game, and especially get to the current version, you'll see that the title couldn't be any more appropriate.
