Even worse that some games just go POOF to the main menu and you may have not saved in a while, that shit makes me rage quit.
If you're playing a game that uses Renpy, then the game will auto save before every choice.
So if you do make a choice that goes to a game over, then just reload the auto save. ;)

Am aware but I sometimes scroll back a few times to check out the other options so usually atleast my autosaves are just a random collection of shit, some games also do this when the update ends (with no warning) and obviously I have my save from before or maybe an auto one but still annoying I have to bother going through old shit I've already seen. Tbh only really had this issue with a few select games and a few that DON'T have choices. Thanks for the tip though, someone else might not know.
 
Any form of walkthrough, I honestly prefer it.

Sometimes I will, sometimes I wont. Either built in or mod. Just depends on the game.
 
Most of the time, I'd wait for a walkthrough mod before playing a game. So it's a yes for me.

Figured most people would just get it always or if they don't only use the build in ones. This is more of a general kinda thing anyway if you're against it or not. I used to dislike it earlier on because I thought it would just spoil the game for me by kind of "forcing" me into choices. But in reality most games 95% of the choices are either yes/no (in different sentences) or don't matter.

Yeah really just depends on the game and my mood at the time.
 
Once I played Summer Scent and when I finished nothing had happened in the game, I said "this game sucks". Then I played with walkthought and saw several hot scenes. So I think it's worth using Walkthought from time to time.
 
You don't play a porn game with the same level of enthusiasm as a console game, you just want to see the scenes you want to have a good fap, so yeah, I'd prefer walkthroughs be the default so you're not stuck grinding more than you need or missing stuff due to counterintuitive choices
 
I always prefer a walkthrough, but mostly so I know where choices are heading. If it's just "good choice/bad choice," it's easy enough to roll back and try again, but if it's adding points to some meter under the hood or certain choices will lead to certain types of scenes, I like to know.
 
Definitely a fan of walkthroughs in games, especially ones with diverse branching paths and where it's easy to miss something with a seemingly unrelated decision much earlier on.
 
One more vote for yay as time is precious and I hate replaying games for locked routes.
 
Honestly yes. I will use a WT, either external, internal or modded in. I don't mind them...especially in some of the bigger games where decisions matter and can lead to bad ends.

If it's a quick tug you're after, the game/images folder would be just as useful. You lose the commentary overlay, though.
 
If it short then you don't really need one sense you can just replay it and finish it quick. If it long then you may need help trying to get certain paths in the story.
 
depends on the game, most of the time yes. some games are so short and easy it's not needed but i have played jap games that were so complex without a walkthrough it was almost impossible to go the exact route you wanted(my understanding of the japanese language is mid at best. if it were in Spanish, Italian, French or English I'd understand much better.).
 
I like having a walkthrough option. I don't always have time to dedicate to multiple runs to get the scenes I want.
 
I would always try to play a game with a walkthrough mod (in the past there were only pdfs at some point so it was barely passable) as I like to know what exactly my choice entails and because sometimes choices don't exactly do what they suggest when you look at them, and the dialogue that follows. Games like Acting Lessons or I Love Daddy were hell without such mods in the past. Some games like A Mother's Love or Bad Manners would have been great with a mod also.
