I see, to be fair I'm relatively new to VNs so I suppose I was talking out of my hat a bit. Of the few I've played the 2 you mention are among them so I am likely suffering from selection bias. On that note, do you have any dead father VN's to suggest as I'm working though some father issues.. so a dead dad fantasy could possibly help me to process my emotions.

Most of the avns I follow the mc is the father. But the ones I can think of the top of my head are Ripples(it uses honey select models), Bad Memories, Twisted memories (also uses honey select models), apocalypse( this is more of a sci-fi/fantasy game and it can get pretty dark depending on your choices), Dreams of desire, Sisterly lust, apartment 69 and Life in santa county (it gets updated like once a year now). There are probably more that I've played but those are the ones I can think of right now. For most games where the father is dead, it doesn't seem like it is a big part of the story. I think in most cases devs just don't want the players to bitch about NTR. I've seen people complaining about it when the mom is supposed to be a love interest and the father is still alive and they are still married. For incest games the common tropes seem to either be, the dad is dead at the start of the game or if he is alive he is a massive asshole and hasn't had sex with his wife in years and that ends up being one of the reasons why the son is able to seduce her.

Nicely done game. All of the renders look great. Sure anyone can make images in Daz, poser, HS etc, but it takes an artist to put together great compositions.

the story is good. The characters are interesting. The Graphics are well done. There is a bit of inconsistent lighting on some scenes ( image to image ). But other that that, the game looks great.
The Steamy sceans are hot.

I just wish you put out an update more than once per year

Were there flags leading up to it?I'm in the same boat - it really surprised me and I was sitting in front of my screen for a minute thinking about if I missed some clear signs. To be fair, I have not replayed from the start - just the update. Maybe I did forgot some clear signs.
But I found it kinda funny that they are all related in some ways - who doesn't love a big family? I think it was a way to normalize the taboo of incest so everyone can see that it is not wrong what they are feeling.
For the last point, I am ok with not having any sexual relationship with Ronda because I don't find her that beautiful. Something about her face is wrong for me.

Ah I see, now that you've explained how the dead dad trope works with the gameplay/fantasy that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the recommendations, hopefully I'll have time to check some of those out soon.

I don't think there were any clear signs. I was totally knocked for a loop when it came up.

Keep in mind that incest is like, my main kink, so I'm always on the lookout for signs of it to show up in the future in other games. So I might be a bit oversensitive to those signs (and possibly jumping at shadows in some cases). But the things that tipped me off were how Rose was okay with the Daddy Plan, and her thoughts about how she wasn't looking forward to explaining why she was okay with it; after that was Rhoda's comment about how "Jared and I grew up without a father"; and then there was how chill Rhoda was about seeing MC and Isabel kissing. The MC being Jared/Rhoda's half-sibling was a surprise to me though (I was a little bit suspicious about how they were all red-heads, but that was about it).
