A tool is only effective if used correctly. There're a lot of stupid people in the world, dumb enough to get caught by leaving a trail. Switching to just "crypto" isn't enough, transactions can be traced on the blockchain of most of them. A shadow payment processor would need to use a currency with privacy and encryption built in, like Monero (XMR). That'd keep the identities of the dev and supporters private, including from each other. Even knowing the wallet address the dev set up to take payments wouldn't be traceable to the dev's main wallet. The potential for a bright lewd future is there, we just need some enterprising perverts to build it. Individual devs could do it on their own if they don't mind a little extra administrative work.

Dev's ko-fi page got nuked today. You can put the money in the drawer for now until the dev figures out another way to accept subscriptions

If I was you dev, I would not post the game in anyway on subscription channels. just updates in those channels, no images just "hey guys this much was work on etc. see you next time". either doing that or just got to work on it for the love of the game. hopeful for your success.

I've been debating for a couple of years about joining discord since it seems so many devs are using it. But something always caused me to put off doing so. Having read your post, think I'll just keep it at the bottom of my priority list.

Yes, you need to buy unifans coins and then you use those coins to subscribe. You can buy coins in 4 ways (i think):
- skrill: you can pay with cards but if you don't have an account yet they will ask you to verify the account.
- crypto: they only accept stablecoins which have some quirks about how you need some other network coin to pay the fee for transactions, ask chatgpt/your favorite llm to guide you through it, it's not too bad but if you don't know what you're doing it's very easy to lose your money or get it stuck in a wallet because you need some other coin to transfer it.
- official coin reseller linked on the website called apptopup, sketchy chinese website, they have a bunch of payment methods including cards and paypal but they will ask for a photo of you with your government id and credit card, i wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole but you do you.
- unofficial (?) shopify coin resellers, they charge like 30-40% more for coins but it's just shopify, you pay with card/paypal and that's it, not gonna link them because i have no idea if they are scams but you can find them easily on the unifans subreddit

You can use your credit card as usual to buy Unifans coins on the website. Go to the “Voucher Center” on the website. Everything is explained there and is pretty clear.
