The goal is to release an update every 2-3 months.@Dark Games Do you have a timeframe in mind on the frequency you will update the game, or is it too early to tell?
Sounds good, hopefulThe goal is to release an update every 2-3 monts.
Hey man, appreciate it, thanks ill try thatWhen you copy the password you might be picking up an unwanted space in the beginning. Get rid of that and the password works just fine.
So i see the space when i paste the password into notepad, its the hyphen, but when i take out that space the password still doesn’t work… hm..When you copy the password you might be picking up an unwanted space in the beginning. Get rid of that and the password works just fine.

My dude. The game is free to play on here. No one needs to subscribe monthly to play it. If you can't afford to sub then simply don't do it. It's not rocket scienceI'm just going to say it. Although I do love this vn and have no problem paying a reasonable price when all said and done, I'm freaking done with subscriptions. I have enough monthly bills just making sure I'm fed, clean and clothed. Everybody wants a monthly fee and that shit adds up. And I can already hear some people " its only like a couple dollars". Well lets be real, say I'm giving a dollar a week to "support" this project. That's 52 dollars a year for a project that has no real end goal in sight. I'm just supposed to continually pay for it, but for like how long? A year, maybe two. Theoretically I could end up paying 500 dollars for an incomplete vn. And I'm sorry but nobody's vn is worth anywhere near that amount. You shouldn't charge people to basically beta test your games. I'm sorry money doesn't grow on trees I wish it did. Again, I'd happily pay a reasonable price when the project was finished. Instead of asking for monthly fees for an unfinished product maybe you could release the project with finished chapters. Each update could be a complete chapter that you could then sell. Instead of monthly updates with little content I think people would be okay with waiting a bit longer if it means there getting a complete chapter. Anyways sorry for the rant, just felt like tossing my two cents in.
I'm in a rather similar situation - my country has been rather badly hit by the fallout of the Hormuz situation. Maybe a one time payment/ donation every few updates could be a resonable compromise. Like your chapter suggestion, only slightly different in that we get to decide the combination of updates that can be considered as being a chapter. 2-3 small updates?I'm just going to say it. What is there to compromise on? The "terms" right now for you being able to play the game for free are:I'm in a rather similar situation - my country has been rather badly hit by the fallout of the Hormuz situation. Maybe a one time payment/ donation every few updates could be a resonable compromise. Like your chapter suggestion, only slightly different in that we get to decide the combination of updates that can be considered as being a chapter. 2-3 small updates?
Goals are great and all, just please don't burn yourself out. I recently learned that creative minds tend to experience their darkest moments in life during the peaks of their creativity, psychologically speaking. Just take care of yourself is what I'm getten'at.The goal is to release an update every 2-3 months.
Some of us feel that devs of games we like should be compensated even if we get their game for free - yes, we do exist, although there are some who would consider us to be "losers and suckers" (yes, that's a quote). A monthly subsription, however, is not a commitment we would be willing to tie ourselves to. The compromise I was talking about was to go for something in between a regular subscription and nothing at all. What is there to compromise on? The "terms" right now for you being able to play the game for free are:Do you want the dev to remote install the game for you as well?Extract and run
Are either of you trying to express that want to support the dev but feel that the current benefits for doing so are lackluster for you?
This makes complete sense to me, I misinterpreted your original post. I agree 100% with the compensation sentiment - fuck anyone that thinks choosing to support any kind of art/artist makes us a "loser or sucker".Some of us feel that devs of games we like should be compensated even if we get their game for free - yes, we do exist, although there are some who would consider us to be "losers and suckers" (yes, that's a quote). This is reasonable. It is JUST AS REASONABLE for anyone who has paid an amount that would be the value of the final product to expect access to the product. A VNs final value as a game is predominantly worth between $20 and $40. Very few are higher. Quite a few (mostly abandoned) are lower. This particular one **if it isnt abandoned before completion** will be on the higher end of that range.fuck anyone that thinks choosing to support any kind of art/artist makes us a "loser or sucker".
here we go again, ones opinion is exactly that, "of the one" its personal & not open to anything other than voicing that opinion.I respect your opinion, but it's wrong.
can I say you are wrong because you didn't say that was your opinion ?Alright Guys!! Kool things down please... We all know that Opinion's are like Assholes Everybody has one...
I don't think anyone is being negative towards this game or this dev. Just a general discussion about donation/subscription, which should have happened in a thread in the general section. After going through 6 pages, I have to say something tbh.
Dear Dark Games, I do think communication is a very important part of building trust in the community and interacting with people who can and will potentially be longtime fans or even supporters. Equally it's important to spread around the game on sites which welcome it. At the same time, please don't let negativity of some people online influence or discourage you. Most people online can't give constructive criticism and lot of the time those things that they criticize ends up being things that they personally want in the game.
I find it awesome that this project has been made and continues to be updated despite... past hurdles. I genuinely wish you the best because playing uncensored, raw games like this is always a pleasure.
I think the bulk of the feedback was positive (dare I say it, glowing), but there was definitely a nontrivial amount of unwarranted negativity earlier in the thread. I'm not sure if maybe the moderators nuked some of that.I don't think anyone is being negative towards this game or this dev. Just a general discussion about donation/subscription, which should have happened in a thread in the general section.
