Hey everyone! I've had this account for ages, but I never really bothered posting, interacting, or reacting much. I've always just been a lurker. I was wondering what the best ways are to grind out the requirements and get enough LC to hit member status. Just skimming around, I noticed a bunch of threads scattered everywhere talking about this. If you guys could give me a roadmap or point me to the best threads I should follow/engage with, I'd really appreciate it!

Posting a thread gives you coins but posting in your own thread doesn't.

You should also customize your profile (avatar, banner, title, etc).

Be generous with likes and reactions. You're rate limited at first but if you don't make it a habit, you'll forget like me.

If you have skills (comedy chops, encyclopedic knowledge, art) you can farm likes but other than that just post.

The first post is the hardest and you're already done with that so it's only up from here.

Wait, likes and reactions give you points? I read the "new" list a few weeks ago, but I didnt see that. I guess I did kinda skim it since I already had M+ so maybe I missed it. Also, I didn't notice the thing where posting in a thread you created didnt give points.

I've noticed there aren't many places with a ton of active engagement for non members. But I'm new here so that's probably just on me.

What do you mean "non members". As far as I know, you are a member after you create an account. If you are talking about the M+ stuff... thats very specific content. I would argue (granted I dont really dig in that section often, but I do still see it since I have that access) that there is more non M+ content available to you to read/respond to. Unless things have changed that I do not notice and you are more limited than I remember. You can just sit on the homepage and watch the "Recent Posts" section and go comment on those for some easy low-effort reply opportunities.
