Can I be negative about the grind? It's more about the anti-farm. I get that they don't want low quality posts clogging everything up, but others putting in the time to make quality responses get nothing at a certain point. IDK, if it's to promote people from getting away from the computer or what. I'm a lurker who follows artists and developers that he likes. I just don't really want to go on this side quest that delays itself.

Same on the grind. Reading seems to be the most difficult metric to gain points for.

Reading seemed easier for me. Mine was already complete by the time I checked. Posting score seems to be taking time for me.

I'm also on the grind, shouldn't take long if you have a day free, i've spent a couple days on here but i'm already super close to getting that sweet, sweet members+. just post meaningful content, read a little and have fun you'll be there in no time, main thing I need now is activity score.

The grind is kind of a smart implementation when you think about it. Gamers acclimate to difficult challenges to achieve a goal for fun. If you want to gatekeep a community for just gamers, give them a grind that they will try for the high score just out of reflex. Everyone else... probably wouldn't enjoy access to yet more games and challenges.

I feel you, man. But objectively speaking, having a system that encourages participation is probably better than having a forum full of lurkers who just come and go without participating.
