not playing any games in a long time (11 or so years) that you can use a mouse & nothing more I'm wondering if i can use one of those SNES Bluetooth game controllers on games like this.
thought I'd ask before digging it out of storage & hoping i don't have to buy something new, using the mouse & keypad just doesn't work for me.

Controller support in PC games varies sort of wildly, but if a game has controller support and especially if it allows you to also remap buttons, you should most of the time be fine with any gamepad that works. There is a small risk with (like very) old USB stuff though, they might just no longer work due to lacking driver support. Bluetooth, I don't know but would assume could be the same thing.

So it really depends on how the controller is made,
If it is a basic controller with a general usb controller chip then likely it will be supported, this is how most cheap controllers are made these days.

Is it has a custom chip and drivers then it may need the buttons remapping in the game if supported.

It's probably fine, but I'd take a look at 8bitdo's controllers. Super high quality and they are the closest thing I've ever felt to an actual SNES controller but with modern inputs like analogue sticks. Love my Pro 2. And some of them are actually comparable in price to the one in your OP.

Plus your PC thinks it is an Xbox controller so you get great compatibility on most everything!

god damn. im clearly not one to stand against piracy, but gog is like the one place you dont steal from...

Outside valve, i dont think anyone other company has done as much for the pc gaming world as gog does.

NOT trying to shame anyone mind you! Just not gonna lie, after discovering that site through this thread, im a little saddened.

If it's on PC, a regular Xbox 360 controller with the cord can plug in and Windows should detect it automatically. If you have one sitting around. I don't know if XBone or later controllers ever had wired versions, i'm out of the loop.

so, after all that & buying a new controller it didn't work.
the game wouldn't allow me to bind the keys with the game & controller didn't work at all.
