Is this a suggestion to make LewdCorner better or is this "diminishing returns" the actual code?

I think it's the code. It's for spam protection, so that no more than 10 replies per user generate activity score. I think they're trying to tread the middle ground between allowing people who mostly lurk to still be reasonably able to achieve the rank they want, and to reward those who actively massively contribute to threads/the site. We'll see how successful this ends up being, but mostly I've found people being pretty positive about these changes.

Basically; yes.
Detailed; don't go too fast, reading points come in slow. I was able to read, react, and respond before the tick. Also remember to buy member+ after you meet the requirements, I'm still working on mine. They want quality, also slow and steady wins.

Right thanks for that clarification, I'm generally a fast reader and with a timer of at least a minute (or more) as I was seeing discussed (staying on one page or one thread?), those points might not happen for me if I'm checking out the games posted in that section of the forum, where I basically spend all my time on this site.

I have the impression that the timer resets every time a new page gets reading activity. This makes sense, until you consider my browsing behaviour, which involves switching back and forth between tabs a lot. I'll go over the thread list, open every one that interests me in a new tab, and then I start reading them. Except I don't finish a page before going to the next. I'll read a bit to get the gist, then switch tabs for another thread, then switch back and continue reading, then switch to another thread.... And I think the timer gets reset every time I switch tabs.

Question. Are my replies getting no posting score because they count as reading score or does the system have a word/ character count for that to apply? It seems obvious, but admittedly it isn't precise to simply discount shorter replies if someone is capable of being succinct or blunt, it becomes counterproductive.

Wow, this is some sophisticated system. After reading the details about activity score at least now I unterstand how it kinda works. I think it's a good method and fair since it's transparent for all users.

After so long, I finally found this post. Now I understand the Posting Score thing—though, to be honest, I don't comment much, so it’ll be hard for me to raise that part. One thing I didn't quite grasp is whether commenting is the only way to increase the posting score or if there are other ways. Anyway, I'm going to read it again to understand it better. I'm admittedly someone who just showed up here and who doesn't really have any history with the place, but after getting over the initial confusion and feeling of being overwhelmed, I think I like the system! It encourages patience and investment into the forum, which is a hard thing to do without creating a feeling of pressure for those who usually hardcore lurk(like me). But I think this strikes a nice balance overall. I do want to agree with what some others were saying, that it does feel like you could be punished for being a fast reader, but it honestly probably won't make much of a difference overall.

I also wanted to say that I enjoyed the balance of transparency where it makes sense without giving away enough detail that anyone can just game the system. I would hate for participation to feel like a check-list or a chore, which I think this system does a decent job of avoiding.

Brand new to lewdcorner and so far I do enjoy this relaxed way of doing the membership. Since it's really just you interacting with others on things you'd like anyways. Overall pretty fun system I really enjoy the name of lewdcoins and it's pretty fun thinking of it like an MMO.

This brings me back to the days of moderating post2host forums. It is a much better system than what we used back in the day, and would probably have kept the sites running for a little longer.

There is enough different information going around due to different systems that i only found this after meeting these requirements but missing the coins... seeing how this works is nice tough and this seems like a decent system. as a lurker the set values are a bit much for me but the underlying system seems fine.

Same here, i made my account over a year ago and thought the other stuff was locked behind a pay wall, also i had some trouble with verifying my email at first for some reason, the verify email didnt send for over a week. But i recently came to check it out again and found out about the system. Im usually a lurker though so posting replys without it trying to come off as fake can get a little hard.

We all have our preferences and kinks.
So, when you post/reply, just feel free to say what you think, and it won't "come off as fake".
I'm sure somebody out there will agree and somebody will disagree.

In the shop, I see that members+ unlocks games+ and ai+. Does that include animations or is there a separate animtations+?

Posting score is tough on lurkers (me), but I think it's a fair system besides that. Got me to comment anyways, so I suppose it's working as intended.
