In general, I like post-apocalyptic. In particular Now and Then.

I love the zombie genre, but from what I've seen, many miss the point. They go for a more dramatic-tragic style, which isn't bad, but many quickly become boring and repetitive, like The Walking Dead from the third season onward. Others try to focus more on the human drama, and that's not bad either, but it's not a simple narrative and they often fall, again, into something repetitive and boring.

I think the best direction is something more like Z-Nation, with action, tension, and horror rather than a dramatic and sentimental approach.

Isn't Z Nation more comedy than serious? It played serious in the beginning but after a while, I think it leaned more towards comedy. Like the plot fell off somehow. That's my opinion, though.

No no, you're right, it leans quite a bit toward comedy. But it also has its serious and dramatic aspects, although it always focused more on the action.

Personally, I've always enjoyed seeing comedy in moments of tension and in shitty situations as an escape for the characters to deal with the stress and pressure.

Fair enough. I can respect that, 100%.

Though, I think I would just want that one guy who gets into a situation and turn it more funny during stressful situations. Haha.
