No need to copy and paste the same post you replied to someone else with. If you read the last line, it was pretty obvious that much of the post was a joke. But just for the sake entertaining myself - What does my post have to do with France, Germany, or Qatar? I never mentioned them. I never mentioned anyone but Canada. All under the assumption that I, myself, am American. Maybe learn the meaning of racist before slinging the word around?

It's kind of ironic that you write this while France is on fire and German's are being set aside in the workforce to import Indians (nothing against Indians, tbc), though.

I'm just saying that you have access to the internet, use it to get the full facts because every country has journalists in every other country (if possible)
most journalists will report the facts as they see or understand them, not in the way the dictatorship tells them to report it. (unless they are part of that dictatorship)

news out of Qatar will report on anything anywhere except things going on in Qatar unless the Qatar government says to report on that & its still filtered through the Qatar government but you can get news about Qatar from the UAE or Saudi Arabia + many other countries.

its just like getting games that were just released on the $30.00 tier yesterday on a game sharing site for free the next day without waiting 30 days for the dev to release it.
people will search for days or weeks to find their updates..................................
people should be as diligent with everything, not just lewd game updates.

You know when I was truly happy? I was in China sightseeing on an extended break from work during the summer of 09. I ended up in a small southern village where money is basically useless.

Check Jia Zhengke movies for an idea.

A couple of coins got me 3 meals and a hostile. The village was lively, working to improve an elders house after flooding. I helped out and joined the workers for food and alcohol. The hang out blew up into a full on party with everyone in the village joining in. 60 Chinese people partying with a random American.

No one cared about cost, just enjoying the night and company.

I went to the same village a little more than a decade later. No children. No young adults. Houses crumbling from disrepair. Old people waiting to die to ease their children's burden. The men who stayed worked 10+ hours in a dead field. There were many eviction notices on deserted homes. No more smiles.

Taxes had increased. Food became scarce and expensive. Water became contaminated from the factory upriver. It was depressing. What made it horrific is, that's what's happening in my own country, and most likely, to everyone's community.

People are so passionate to pick a side and ignore outside perspectives or facts through tribalism that they cannot see that the same billionaires and billion dollar companies that are fueling the culture war are the ones literally killing us.

Sybau and get out into your communities and do something. I volunteer every federal holiday and 10% of my salary go to programs that help poor children get an education.

From my point of view, intelligent people and stupid people, experienced people and naive people, honest people and crooked people exist everywhere, always. Most primitive societies would let decision make in the hands of their older and wiser (the more experienced people in their communities) most "modern" Western societies followed the same path always demanding a certain minimum age and education for important decision making positions. But in the last decades we witnessed some really poorly qualified people assuming important decision making positions, which indicates a degeneration of society, loosening its values and rules in an attempt to please everybody when in the end this approach turns the society dysfunctional and worse for everyone. Maybe it is just the case the Western society is experiencing the last phase of the civilization life cycle, its decline and death.

Yes, the Internet amplified the reach of many people and ideas, very intelligent people and excellent ideas but also very stupid people and the worst ideas one can imagine. Add to that the fact that most people cannot link cause and effect, what makes them the perfect pawns in someone else's game, they are easily manipulated into doing what is beneficial to a small group of intelligent, selfish and greedy people. I give you one example: Lots of uneducated people from Libya, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Sudan, Yemen etc. flooded Western European countries seeking asylum. Most people only understand that they are dark skin people, with a different culture and religion "invading" my country; they don't understand these people would rather be living in their own countries if they could live a decent life there. But YOUR country and its allies bombed THEIR countries, destroyed their governments and the stability of their societies. The immigration crisis is the effect of your government foreign policy.

Genuine question. Why? I understand people can get somewhat belligerent when discussing such things but aren't we all mature individuals on here? I volunteer everyday in one way or another, been volunteering in some capacity since I was 10 years old

Well... depends on how far back on the history scale you really wanna go. From what i heard from our grandparents we always have been in Germany, even their parents and those of them.

But that aside, people are... people. There is no full white or full black mindset, there is no "correct" and "wrong" in behavior. Common sense is as loose of a term than actual mental behavior. Different cultures have different standards, What's normal for one is abnormal for others. That extends to rules, courtesy and living styles. Here on the lands between nowhere in Germany, we live very very differently to those in the cites, even more differently to our direct neighbor states like the Dutch or the Polish. Hell we even have towns with no internet connections and a terrible infrastructure. The biggest part of understanding what is wrong with people is accepting the fact that almost every single one you meet, be it online or outside, grew up under different teachings and circumstances. I seen families from friends here in Germany that live like druggies, a dirty apartment, crude jokes left and right and no "filter" when it comes to their dictionary. At the same time i seen families, like my one, that pretends to be "better people" to the outside while we really are not better. Its just "our common sense" to act this way. Its natural, we say murder is bad and crimes are bad, yet we also say "if they touched one of our family members, you can expect me to meet with them outside and do the job others refuse to do" kind of stuff.

All in all we grew up differently with different opinions, different dangers and rules. It's what help shape our common sense which truly is not common at all. That doesn't mean that everything has to be uncommon though. We seen money destroy the lands and people around here as much as they did in pretty much all other parts of the world. Not being a big money gainer here in germany, we pretty much are "waste", unusable for anything that helps make more money. So our parts tend to get the lesser end of almost all up to date agreements.

Its impossible to argue which state or which common sense is the right way for people to live, which is why some families do not mix well as neighbors at all (I heard a lot of drama from previous neighbors and even we had a drunkard who puked in the gardens which for me is disgusting, also fully german so no political undertone intended.)
