If it has no gallery room or feature and the art and writing is not interesting enough, then it goes into the trash can. There was like only 2 games with animations and art to my liking which i binned because the game was just too tedious.
Something i haven't seen talked about much is simple taste change, maybe mixed with a bit of expectations. Back in like ~2010, flash games were tingling my brain enough to enjoy them a lot, but looking back to them now is almost a bad choice. Things have not been that great when you actively go...
if they actual film every single scene with the same porn actors then i would try it, but since its unreasonable to do so for "just" a game no one probably will. I personally enjoy 2d/3d more, so maybe i am a bit bias. I just don't like how inconsistent the cg/porn is in these games
Ooh there was this one exhibition game which had some really hot ideas and features (not the Roxanne one, although one that was pretty close to that one). Biggest sadness was that there was "no consequence" system. The game pretty much was a game about posing and dodging npcs and you could do...

it really depends on the games. Sometime the text boxes cover waaay too much of the actual h-scene and having to turn it off and on again to fully see every change is tedious. Luckily this seems to happen quite less now that the super old rpg maker engine is been chosen less and less to make games
i cant remember directly if it was through xvideos or youtube of all places. It started with ryona games like blank blood, which at the time i wasn't really "aware" of this kind of genre. Tbf i was also waaay to young finding these, specially since the next games that actually got me into hentai...
