Would it be better to hunt down countless games first or finish a game before hunting for more?

I have a terrible habit of constantly hunting down new games to download before completing the current game I'm playing. How bout you guys?
I am always tempted to do that for some reason but I mostly don't do it because it ruins the game that I am currently playing for me, like it's been months and I haven't completed that game "returning to Mia" because I downloaded another game but I have completed many other games after that so I don't know when or if I ever will play that game.

I am currently playing an old game house arrest and I am tempted to download another old game milfy city, let's see what happens lol

By trial and error, I choose a game that I can get interested in. If after 30-40 minutes of gameplay I get bored, I delete the game or VN without the slightest regret. As an example - yesterday I deleted Uncontrollable Lust. There are few completed games that I really liked and saved on my HDD (as an example - Mystwood Manor). The rest (that's 9 projects) are under development, when updates come out I come back to them. Between the updates I choose the next game or VN and deal with it. I'll tell you right away, I save very few projects, most of them go to the trash.

I just find a lot of games that have the tags I like and I know I'll get around to em eventually.

I download multiple games at once just incase it finishes short I have a backup.

God that makes so much sense, it really takes away the enjoyment and immersion from the current game I'm playing. Currently shifting my attention elsewhere. I should probably suppress the habit. Thanks for putting it into words

I suppose it is about striking the right balance and not hanging onto stuff you, in actuality, have moved on from

I usually have 2 or 3 games installed, and I alternate between them to avoid burnout.

I tend to have two or three downloaded at any given time, and then just play whichever one suits my mood at the time. That works pretty ell for me.

It depends on where I'm getting them from and the content in it. Some games/links may be taken down or gated if you "get around to it sometime soon". But for well known games that have been around a while I may do two at a time just avoid getting bored. VNs tend to go like that for me.

I think eventually everyone "hunts down countless games" because generally games on this site have short updates.

My whole life is backlogs, youtube backlogs, anime backlogs, and now even porn games. I do enjoy finding more than playing at some points tho
Hahaha, as I stare at my backlogs, my backlogs stare back at me. I totally get that man, hence the habit. Though I agree with Alfabit that it does take the enjoyment away from the game I'm currently playing
