Cultural enforcement of a certain narrow "traditional" definition of femininity (or masculinity) married to biological gender is probably at least half the reason we have so many people (mostly under 50) claiming to be "nonbinary" and such because they don't find themselves on the places on the graph where their genitalia matches the behaviors and interests that "traditional" society says belong with those genitalia (men like cars and guns and sports and violence and hate emotions other than anger and must be cool, aloof and macho at all times while women like pink and knitting and braiding hair and talking about feelings and periods with their girlfriends and hate dirt and must always have their hair and nails and makeup done, that kind of shit).

People would have a lot less trouble figuring out what gender they are if everyone accepted my definition of gender. You have a penis? Yes. You want to keep it? Yes. Congratulations, you are male and a man. Let nobody tell you otherwise. Doesn't matter how much you love wearing dresses and makeup, etc., if you have a dick and have no desire for "gender affirming" surgery to get rid of it, you are a dude. Similarly, if you have a pussy and want to keep it, congratulations, you are female and a woman. You can be a lumberjack and not shave your pits, doesn't make you less a chick. (The only exception would be the truly transgender who just don't want to surgically butcher their genitalia and get rid of a working orgasmic and/or reproductive system for a bad imitation of what they weren't equipped with to start.)

I prefer the natural definition, if you have a dick aka male sex you cant be female. If you dont have one you are female...or an eunuch, depends if you have a pussy aka female sex or not.

Also, defining if someone is a man or a woman based on genitals is even worse than cultural identity, as we have proof at this point that the brains of trans people more closely align physically with the brains of the sex they identify as, and since the brain matters far more in determining who you are as a person than literally any other part of the body that you can lose and replace, it really should be the only thing that matters in what a person's identity is.

Unfortunately, we can't just do hundreds of millions of brain scans to determine if every single person has the same sex brain as their body, or the opposite, or something in between, so the most pragmatic thing to do is just let people say what they identify as, and respect it. If a trans woman says they're a woman and still has a dick, they're a woman. Nothing else really matters. It especially shouldn't matter to a community of people on the internet using names that aren't the same as what's on their birth certificate, using pictures that don't look anything like they do in their family album.

Usually. At least in the case of transwomen. I am familiar with the way penile tissue is repurposed to line a neovagina. Not sure if they can salvage enough clitoral tissue to make an orgasmic neopenis for a transman, but I know they need either a Gumby-like wire insert or else a hand pump in order to get an "erection". And complcations can happen during surgery, especially when dealing with nerves, and there is a nonzero probability of lost or decreased sensation after surgery. Plus there is the fact that surgically-constructed fake genitals are simply not as good as the real thing, in any way. Transwomen cannot have multiple orgasms like ciswomen because they have a male refactory period in the penile tissue that lines the neovagina, and can only orgasm from penetration since that is how the penile tissue is stimulated (you're basically fucking a sectioned and inverted dick). Also, they can't get wet on their own and must use artificial lubricant.

We mostly agree, although i don't think it should be controversial or offensive to state that transwomen are not exactly the same as ciswomen, nor are transmen exactly the same as cismen. There is a Venn diagram where they overlap, but Caitlyn Jenner still has most of the body of the (albeit elderly) high-performance male athlete she used to be (as Bruce Jenner) and Elliot Page did not grow four inches and gain 50 lbs the day he changed his name from Ellen.

I dont see any proof because i dont crack peoples heads just to look at their brains. I'm also unable to read minds. All i see is a body with or without a dick.
Sorry if that sounds intolerant, but its a fact. Maybe trans people should focus their fights more to get their sex changes payed by health insurance instead of demanding from common people to ignore all their senses and just accept what they think they are - especially in women only areas like our shelter, changing rooms, gym showers, etc. because it doesnt matter what they are in their heads, it only matters what everyone else sees and my tolerance ends when i get confronted with dicks in explicitly dickfree areas.
On a sidenote, i cant believe "transwomen" who want to keep their dicks, because that only proves they prefer their biological gender.
