I try to be bad if possible but I usually give up and do whatever that gets me more scenes.

Nice route most the times, but depends on the title as some clearly are pushing the player in one direction despite the weak efforts to have 'options'
my first play though I tend to pick options that will not cause the story to feel disjointed or ones actions feeling out of place against everything else going about around them.
