Beyond some newgrounds games I want to say it was corruption, and man that really set s high bar, I still think it's one of the best.

Hmm started off back in the day with old VNs like Seasons of the Sakura, Bible Black, Paradise Heights...then yeah, I guess a bunch of flash games on newgrounds and such (does anybody remember Frank's Adventure?)
