I don't mind RPGM if done right. Harem Collector and Claire's Quest are proof you can make an awesome game with it.
Unity is buggy as hell. I don't know how many games get released with a serious bug and you have to rollback a scene or skip it.
I have a love-hate relationship with QSP. The games are either easy to figure out, or they're a convoluted mess.

And half of it is sandbox because some are complex and I waste my time on something without a guide, for example My Early Life, I abandoned that game :v

Its usually unity or unreal engine for me. A lot of young devs end up making the games so bloated and unoptimized it makes the gameplay feel rough and kinda painful to play. That being said there's always good games in any engine

I don't like Unity either, not for VNs or regular games.

Rpgmaker. They usually just take too long to do anything and a lot of the time loses the charm of the game. Renpy is the best but some games done in unity also works great

Whenever I browse around for new stuff, I tend to filter out RPGM. Some good stuff has been made using it, no doubt, but its more exception than rule. Im also not a fan of Unreal, but Im guessing the lack of quality games using Unreal is due to NSFW games being "indie" and Unreal really takes alot of time to make something good

Surprisingly, yes.

Surprisingly, yes.

For me QSP is OK, but too often fantasy (which I hate in adult games) and/or real porn (which is lazy.) Also, usually takes place in Russia. Girllife has good parts, but also the RealPorn/Russia and gets very repetitive.
