discussion What Would Convince You to Pay for an Adult Game?

Good renders and animations, a good story that feels like it's going somewhere, and characters that seem like actual people.

I would really prefer a pay once and get the game updates for free, but that option doesn't really exist. So I come here and steal them instead

If i play an AVN found on a pirate site and i love this game (i love AVN when the main theme is lesbian incest with corruption; obviously the graphics and plot can’t be bad or stupid), but it’s impossible to find new free versions, then almost certainly i will pay for the game

My biggest issue with paying for an adult game online is that my kinks get linked to my credit card. A way to pay with paysafe cards or other alternatives is what really decides it for me.

It isn't the quality of the game exactly, for me. 1. Is generally what I want in an avn/game in terms of art and themes. 2. the developer is involved with the community so I'm less worried about him bailing. And it has some smaller community feel. 3. The game is somewhat different in terms of the other content out there. There are plenty of people that would fund all of those. I'm not rich so if I'm putting my money towards something, I want to feel like my money matters. Honestly, I've only paid for 1 and it matched all 3 of these.

It's not that i would want to pay, it's more that i can't, i live in a third world country, earning a minimum wage of 300$ monthly, yes, you read that right, monthly, so unfortunately i don't have the spare money to pay for adult games, hell, not even normal games, that I usually buy at discount on steam i am not buying for a while

The fetishes represented in a porn game matter more than anything else. The lack of some while the inclusion of others can make or break a hentai game no matter how good the story, art, gameplay, etc. is. That said, for me it has to have MILFs and shotas. If all the characters are adults then I view that as a form of censorship and wouldn't support it. Secondly, the only kind of adult game I would pay for is one that takes femdom seriously and does it right. By focusing on female pleasure and not male pleasure, male displeasure, male humiliation, basically all the pomp and circumstance people associate with femdom.

Have consistant communication with supporters and good reputation to not drag the game for years or move updates further and further away. Of course the game has to have decent quality but for me the person im supporting has to be a decent person.

It shouldn't have AI-generated art, it should have plenty of content, it should show good quality and care on the developer's part, it should be complete, and of course, it should live up to my expectations

For me, whether a game is SFW or NSFW doesn't really matter.
If I like it and think the price is fair, I'm happy to pay for it.
Usually, a game needs to have at least two of the following for me to buy it: fun gameplay, good-looking graphics, or an interesting story.
