Almost forgot to mention another one, no-sexual content. I don't even know if this tag is on LC but why would anyone be here if they're looking for a game without sexual content.

I will say there are some great VNs without sexual content that have phenomenal stories that are worth playing if great stories are a big thing you like about VNs. Also just because there's no sexual content in the game itself doesn't mean there's nothing lewd in the story, or that content outside of the VN doesn't exist that is explicit.

(For example I use the VN / anime Higurashi: When They Cry)

For me it's scat, bestiality, futa, gay. Although if they're avoidable and not the focus of the game, that's totally fine with me.

Maybe the biggest hard pass is actually real porn. Because if I'm in the mood for real porn I'd ....... watch real porn. If I'm playing a VN I'm there largely for the story, and real porn images usually will just completely take me out of believing that this is a real world and not just stories made to turn real porn clips into a story after the fact.

Oh, also I'd say if people are giving Female Protagonist tagged games a hard pass, they're missing out on some really good ones. It's also not my first choice, but that doesn't mean there are none worth playing. (Good Girl Gone Bad being one that really stands out to me that everyone should give a try)

honestly, even though theres a lot of tags that are turn offs for me, if theres other ones that i like ill at least give any game a shot to see if the good outweighs the bad or not. but honestly, open world/rpg/sandbox are my avoidance tags cuz renpy rein supreme. they just arent worth the effort imo, i dont wanna sit there and play the same game formula for the millionth time, which takes so much grinding and guesswork, like i just wanna get into the good stuff without having to think so much.

Most games that have the NTR tag have it as optional/avoidable so that tag isn't enough to stop me. I would have missed out on plenty of nice games if I just wrote it off like that.
