It's a little nitpicky, but I don't like games that have super obtuse/grindy requirements for unlocking additional content/scenes. There's a point where the gameplay just becomes too stale and overstays its welcome, and the art/story can't carry through that.
Usually if it's the first playthrough I'll try to stick it out since I like seeing endings, but it also deters me from replaying something as well.
