There's several that I would want passed if I could.

1) an end to no fault divorce.
2) all voting power is restricted to 1 vote per married couple.
3) the government is forbidden from taking a part of child support payments for any reason and payments must have receipts showing how the money was spent only on the child.

Starting at age 18; mandatory 2 year enlistment in the armed forces with an option for 2 more or career. Only after the minimum requirements are met, will you able to pursue academic/trade jobs/whatever you want. More discipline and stability for our youths is the goal.

Also, any company that requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree for a minimum wage job should be dismantled and sold for scrap.

I agree to this too thought the term limit should be either two years active duty (I.E after boot camp and training school) or a minimum of four years total

Some simple math - one billion dollars, without interest, is 10 million dollars a year for 100 years, or ~28 thousand dollars a day, everyday, for 100 years.

You people think too small. I mean you get to make a law and you can't do something REALLY important? For myself I would need TWO laws (though 1 would be a good start).

1) Outlaw the creation, ownership, and/or consumption of Oatmeal Raisin Cookies without a valid prescription from a doctor (for Diabetics and such).

2) ALL households MUST have 2 DOZEN fresh Chocolate Chip Cookies at ALL times.

Set a minimum IQ or educational level in order to vote / have kids. Reverse idiocracy. Great movie though, so maybe not.

In theory i would agree, too many idiots vote their favorite colors without knowing anything or pick the less disgusting fake smile from election posters without knowing more then the slogan from that poster. Such waste should not be allowed to influence politics in any way, especialy not by voting. And bad parenting produces more idiots.

But i learned a few things about idiots over the years, they have 5 core groups:

• The drones - Too stupid to think for themself, they get influenced from all sides and believe even the biggest nonsense. Politics and marketing only survived so long by using and systematically increasing their quantity - Stultification of the people by using all available media.
• The brutes - Too stupid to solve anything without violence. Sending them to jail dont changes anything because you cant (re)educate something without at least a rudimentary brain - The good thing, they dont care about politics and dont vote.
• The blinds - Too stupid to solve any problems, they tend to just ignore them, nothing bad happens if you dont see it happen - These almost always vote the same because they are used to it and nothing bad happend...
• The blamers - Too stupid for anything else, they blame someone, some race, some culture or some religion for their problems instead of working on it - Their votes mostly go the the right wing, traditionalists or religion based parties
• The good kids - Too stupid to think for themself they rely on their upbringing, parents rules are law because they wouldnt lie or risk their beloved one, right? - They vote mostly their parents favorites because they cant be wrong...

You see the problem, if we ban all the idiots from voting we risk turnouts below 10% in every country and get completely new results. The big fishes die because they never did anything right and lied through multiple generations to stay in power. The small parties who got the needed votes mostly for the first time in history, need to confront their ideals with reality and will learn they cant do much without the financial backup of the lobbies and once someone accepts an offer, we are back at the beginning of the circle because not politics rule the world, its the money...and to hide that fact they will need the idiots again who believe they do everything for the people and not to save their face or ass because they were stupid enough to accept a "one time" deal.
So its pointless to ban the idiots from voting, maybe we should try to improve the other end and demand an outstanding IQ for politicians? That could work...or blow up everything. Sadly there is no link between smart and social and i think i prefer an incompetent idiot over an evil genius in power.

What we really need are control teams to enforce one global rule: Politicians must focus on the people, not on money, prestige or selfish crap. One broken leg for one broken rule, if no legs are left headshot and new election. Imho the best we could do to fix this mess without collateral damage.
We could also try to make a classical election, gather a bunch of peasants with pitchforks, torches and maces, but i guess there are still some soilders around and would still follow orders, that kind of voting worked better before gunpowder became a common thing. But hey, at least we would be remembered by history, the big election massacre...at least for 50 years, then people will claim it never happend ^^

I'd make it so you can only serve 1 term as Pres, VP, Senate, Reps. one term and you can't go do anything else after this term. No going from Senate to Pres ect.

A universal basic income - enough to survive on. If someone wants more they work. Making more than a certain amount or having more than a certain amount (both would be rich people) don't get it, and the UBI is not taxed at all, while higher incomes get a MUCH higher tax rate than present. Also, specifically make it set as law that anything not involving an actual person is absolutely NOT **.

I'm not calling you stupid btw, there are some issues and valid arguments to be had. But, if you're in the States, look at where the craziness is happening. In the cities with the most anti-gun laws and politics. If the cops are going to keep letting criminals out of jail or DAs refusing to prosecute, I'd like some way of being able to get back home safely every day. Besides my friend, dump the guns and then you just start dealing with the stabbing attacks in London and places like Glasgow.

Besides, politicians love having theses issue because they can campaign on them.
