Cute, sporty or the delinquent, unsurprisingly I have a tendency towards tomboys and "prince" types. There's a unique pleasure in watching them become vulnerable and open. Alternatively, flailing and klutzy, the "girlfailure" sort. Think Mikan from Danganronpa or Kuroki from Watamote. Honestly, I just find them amusing to watch so I'd like to keep them around if possible.

In terms of visual character design, I usually prefer petite, pale, freckles, readheads or brunettes, braids or ponytails. I don't go for piercings or tattoos.

In terms of personality, shy is good. But so is combative. I don't care for the term, but "tsundere" fits.
