Which genre do you prefer?

I prefer the fantasy genre but I always see more sci fi out there. Am I missing out?

Sci fi but has fantasy ingrained in it.

Favorite book is Dune.

Fantasy is my favorite. Scifi can be good but most of the time I don't think it's done well.

I'm happy with either so long as the writing and characters are good. Without that then it doesn't matter as I'm likely to drop or push through without reading.

Fantasy but I feel like nothing creative has happened in the fantasy space in a while. The sci fi games I've played all tend to be parodies of other games so I'm not too into them.

I lean more into sci fi seeing that Bioshock and No Mans sky are one of my favorite games.

Personally I love both genres as I found good novels in each one. Same with games.

Right now I'm hooked on all those free with prime power fantasy harem novels on Amazon.

I think both genres are good. I prefer more sci-fi though. Tales from the Unending Void is a great game, so is Ripples

i feel the same, the only scifi I've really gotten into was star wars books like the Darth Bane series

Sci Fi but I cant remember the last decent sci-fi game. I wish we had more mass effect style games, the universe is so big to explore.

I dislike magic a lot. After Doctor strange joined Marvel Cinematic Universe, it became much less cool. So I would choose scifi

I like both. It depends on the plot and how good the game is made. If it is decent then I can play either fantasy or scifi
