You can support a dev, then if they stop producing, or only churn out content once in a while, turn off your subscription until there's new content.

I supported NCP for a little while on patreon, right now I would like to support some creators on subscribestar as well if it was possible.

ST Hotdog King because he consistently finishes games and produces good content. I hate falling for patreon scams or devs just ditching games after the paycheque comes in.

I only sub when I don't want to wait for the public release. Then I usually immediately unsub.

Quality, good story writing, updating on a schedule, interacting with fans, and making aware of future updates.
