The original Fallout.

the first game i ever played was an old arcade version of asteriod. i remember watching my uncle play lots of super mario, but it wasn't until years later that i picked out a random playstation game from a bargain bin for my parents to buy. it turned out to be metal gear solid. that was my first real experience actually getting enthralled and transported into a new world with games. imo, i couldn't have gotten luckier with that random game snag.
The original Resident Evil on PS1

Some game on the NES... We had quite the large collection so I couldn't tell you which one

First memory I had of playing any game was some Beat em up Arcade cabinet game I dont know the name of, the first game that I was really into and played hours on end was Pokemon Crystal

I was pretty young. I used to go to a pc club and one of the first games i played was CS 1.3 and gta 3 i think.

I think I've answered this before. But it would be Donkey Kong arcade. They had it at the Drug store. We are talking circa 1983-1984. Playing my uncle's Coleco family computer was such a blast knowing you could play Donkey Kong at home. Eventually we got an Atari. And I had Donkey Kong, and Pac-Man. MS Pac-Man. I'd say this was 1985 ish. Service Merchandise sold the Atari 2600. I had Star Wars, I had Jedi Arena. Centipede. Pitfall. Frogger. We even had Raiders of the Lost ark one of the worst games I've ever played. Mario Bros not Super Mario Bros, Mario bros was lame. Once we got a Nintendo in 1986 and Super Mario It was something I was obsessed with, that and the Legend of Zelda and Metroid came later. Final Fantasy in 1990 was far off but it was life changing for me.

Then came the Genesis and the Super Nes, the Nintendo 64. I got a PlayStation in 1997 and never looked back at Nintendo. Eventually an Xbox. Then a 360. Final Fantasy 7, Metal Gear solid and Resident evil 2 ps1, Kotor on Xbox and Halo. On the 360 It was Mass Effect.

Of course, if I want to wind back the years I can talk about Sega genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe. Altered beast. Or Super Nes and Final Fantasy II aka IV in Japan, and Final Fantasy III aka VI in Japan. Or Super Mario World, or Super Metroid. Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana. Lufia 1 and 2, breath of fire. Super Star Wars trilogy. Donkey Kong Country. The 64 was my last Nintendo system. I never bought a gamecube or wii. I did play one of brother's consoles but other than Ocarina of time, windwaker, twilight princess I played nothing on those consoles. Except for Resident evil 4. Well I should say I went in on a gamecube for 50 bucks but I did not purchase the console. Wii was garbage to me. The gimmicky controller. The family oriented and kiddie games. Metroid maybe on the GBA was the last time I gave a damn about Nintendo that and the Final Fantasy ports. I liked 2d games. I haven't played Nintendo anything since 2007.

If not for a strong amount of JRPG in the earlier years I think I would have gotten bored of Nintendo. SNES was a great system. Square abandoning Nintendo was where I exited stage left. Of course, today they aren't a shadow of what they were, now as Square-Enix. Final Fantasy 7 was where I said goodbye Nintendo.

People tell me they make good games now get a Switch. You'll love Mario and Zelda. But you know probably the Nintendo 64 sucked so much, in a lot of ways it disenchanted me despite liking Mario 64. Liking Star Fox, Star Wars Shadows of the Empire and Goldeneye 64. Perfect Dark. Conker bad fur day. The lack of JRPG was a death knell for them.

I feel like NES and SNES were way better return on investment. On my parent's part. On my part I purchased a ps1 and a n64. The ps1 was a better purchase. SNES and PS1 are probably tied for the best system of all time imho. Though Xbox 360 is not far off. I always wanted a sega CD but we never got that console. I did play Lunar Silver Star and Eternal blue on ps1. I had Grandia on ps1. And part II on PS 2. Final Fantasy pretty much died with 13 trilogy, it was trash. Remake of 7 is okay I suppose, but too many installments, and too long in development. 15 was also terrible.

Space Invaders Arcade my Ice skating rink had, loved that game.

First real serious PC game though was WoW, played that for a decade or so.

Im pretty sure my first real PC game was Wolfenstein on uncle's. It was more than 30 years ago. I was with them during the summer holidays and I remember only this game and that thay had lot of Lego.
In these days I had chinesse NES with a lot of games insied. My favourite was Contra and Mario

I used to love reading as a kid, real book devourer. In time, I also wanted a bit more visual but movies bored me, not tactile enough. So gaming, RPGs especially and (FFIX in particular) since they include a lot of reading and a lot of systems was the natural conclusion.
