Ratchet and Clank, that was the first game that make something in my head click.
Before that gaming was a group thing I did with friends, but after that, well I do have around 600 physical games of which I have completed around 400.
And digital, on Steam I have around 1k games and I have completed around 300 of them.
Ayeee my man same for me. I'd go over to my friend's house to play Rachet and Clank on the PS3. But the first game I completed on my own was Uncharted.

I casually enjoyed the occasional RPG like Phantasy Star, Lunar and Ultima but I became obsessed with games when Daggerfall came out. It blew my mind.

N64 games in general. But more specifically Goldeneye. I played it all the time as a kid

A lot of people trace their love of gaming back to classics like Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda, as they introduced players to the magic of exploration and challenge. Others might cite Pokémon Red/Blue or Halo: Combat Evolved for their incredible world-building and multiplayer experiences. If it’s about storytelling, games like Final Fantasy VII or The Last of Us often spark a lifelong passion. What about you—what game hooked you first?

First video game I ever played was pong on a Magnavox Odyssey2. Been playing video games ever since, never gets boring.

I think just owning a pc got me into gaming, even before i had a console

007 golden eye and Mario 64 where the first I remember playing then came gta 3

Played PacMan at arcade. The bought a Commodore 64, which came with a cassette deck for loading/saving games. But, it also had a cartridge port, where I played PacMan. But, the first versions of Civilization and SubLogic's Flight Simulator got me into gaming. Green lines on a black screen--very, very primitive, but, fascinating to me. FWIW, I turn 70 this year.

my first game is feeding frenzy, but the one that get me into gaming is that game where you control a hovering three legged robot to protect your base basically against other robot. unfortunately i forgot what's the name and can't find it.

I got a sega megadrive when i was a kid, it was my first console, Sonic was the first game i've played...i think

For me it was playing Super Mario World on Super nintendo and eventually led me to getting a Nintendo 64 and ever since Ive been playing games

Commander Keen in Invasion of the Vorticons was the first game I remember playing that really hooked me.

Sonic the hedgehog, or counterstrike 1.6 got me into more "serious" games.

Duck Hunt or Super Mario Bros on the NES I guess > Zelda > Mega Man 2
Got a PC much later, 5.4" floppies were already going out of style. Snake and Commander Keen, oh and the original Duke Nukem. That was great.
