Any game that you thought had potential but as the updates went by you lost interest?

Echoes of Lust. Really enjoyed it at first, thought the Groundhog Day thing was a cool story element, eventually got annoyed with the MC (mainly for the times he would get a plan 99% right, have something unexpected screw things up at the last minute, and then go back to the drawing board completely. You live the exact same day over again moron, if you got blueballed because someone walked in on you and the girl just do it all again and lock the door.)

Freshwomen. Hard to point to one thing exactly, at some point I just decided "the renders are nice but the writing really isn't interesting enough to keep downloading this".

Lust Academy. In some ways it's the best executed of the Harry Potter parody genre, but the writing is pretty garbage on a few levels. Even that was moderately forgivable until I hit the point where the MC had slept with most of the girls (in his class at least), the writing was barely-if-at-all acknowledging any kind of relationship between them, and every other event seemed to be repeating a cycle of "girl expresses vague insecurities -> MC comforts her with a the same overflowing superlative compliments he lays on every other girl".

Become a Rockstar. Was enjoying it up to where the MC's dad gets shot, and all the girls you're potentially involved with show up at the hospital, see each other, and angrily dump you. On the one hand, MC more than had it coming; on the other hand I just didn't really feel like going back and playing the game through six times to see all their solo routes.

I also expected more from Become a Rockstar, its endings were very poor in my opinion.

Echoes of Lust.

Freshwomen.

Lust Academy.

Become a Rockstar.

This is a really great list. The one I would add to it is The Sunset Fairies, for the crime of not properly setting expectations on how the MC would treat the girls until wayyyyy too late. If I had known that he was going to be causing internal injuries to the girls, I would have just skipped it from the beginning.

Exploring the Big Apple [Dimajio333] This one is very slow and will hardly surpass Pineapple Express.

Lust Theory, after season 2 I feel like it lost it's direction

yea gotta agree on Echoes of Lust, Freshwomen and Lust Academy.
The writing on Lust Academy just got extremely bad. Finished the 1st Part/Chapter and dumped the 2nd Part pretty fast.

A House In The Rift got more boring with each update IMO.

WTF? I bailed on Sunset Fairies pretty early because, well, the writing stunk worse than a dumpster fire. But I had the impression the game was aiming for a relatively wholesome post-apocalyptic power fantasy. How the heck did internal injuries get involved?

Something like Another Earth by Miztyl? Was a supporter, but the ending sucked ass - no way around a bad ending without using walkthroughs, which should never be required (and should be in game rather than having to go in and out to read.) WVM - it's all over on both here and Fuck 95. Slowed down updates to almost nothing for a while. Was also a BIG TIME contrarian - whatever people asked for, including patrons, Braindrip did the opposite. People asked for less duckfaces, he added more. People asked to quit with so many LIs - he added more, that their name was the color of their clothes. Dumped it a while ago.
Also, BaDik because of the over the top extremely ridiculously difficult free roams. LONG ago.

You fell for the "wholesome" bit too eh? Yeeeaaah... MC is NOT wholesome at all in the more recent parts. His idea of sex would cause serious injuries to anyone of that size.

I like Freshwomen. The things that turn me away are - blueballing, too difficult, adding kinks I hate (nutr, futa,...) and just going way off from how a game was.

I thought WVM was great early on when it was getting updated regularly, but when the dev got super inconsistent then leaned hard into giving every female duck lips he lost me.

Most games that end up taking far too long to get interesting or fizzle out after an interesting start

summertime saga . at first it excites and thrilles you until after many updates and will lost your interest on it .

Easy one for me: Haley's Story.
Started out as possibly the most erotic VN I'd seen - high tension, slow buildup then totaly ruined aboutr 1/3rd way through. Its like they changed writers. Tone direction and even plot changed. After that (and the huge backlash) it never recovered; multiple plot lines were abandoned and any character growth died. Even the new primary plot line was thrown away and sorted "off-screen". A potential gem turned into a pile of poop.

Well, validates my decision to not play past the first 2-3 updates I guess...

I loved Summertime Saga but the dev never finished some of the early girls and kept adding more crap.

Would you say it's worth playing?
Unless you can find an older version I wouldn't bother. It's been in the process of a rebuild for a couple of years now and the releases lately haven't been worth the time to download.
