As good an explanation as anyThere is the absolutely slightest delay between what you actually see/taste/hear/feel and how your brain processes it. For instance, your eyes actually see everything upside down, your brain just corrects that and makes it the right way up.
De Ja Vu, to my knowledge, is when your brain has already processed something and recorded it into the short-term memory, BEFORE it's made you aware of it. So, you feel like you remember something you're seeing/feeling/experiencing, but its just because your brain has already recorded it.
